Burley Confirms Wright Interest Monday, 28th Jun 2010 18:42
Crystal Palace boss George Burley has confirmed his interest in released Town defender David Wright. The full-back, who underwent an Eagles medical today, is expected to formalise his move to Selhurst Park once Palace officially exit administration next month.
Burley said: "David Wright we have spoken to and it is progressing well. We will see if we can get that one sorted."
TWTD understands that former Town keeper Richard Wright will join the former Wigan and Crewe man, ex-Blues keeper-coach Malcolm Webster, one-time midfielder Darren Ambrose and former striker Alan Lee at Palace.

If it wasn't worrying enough that D.Wright and Rosenior were both released, the suggestion earlier by Keane that we might have to make do with the players we have is frightening! A whole season reliant on Jamie Peters at right back and no cover?! It was widely touted that D.Wright and R.Wright were released because of their high wages. It seems that cannot be true if Crystal Palace, emerging from administration, manage to sign them. Perhaps Ipswich could sign Ambrose and cheer us all up?!

whilst it is obviously worrying and we do need a new RB there would be cover for in gareth mccauley...lol so we could get a cb instead :D And not be funny but how crap is burley... does he not have any kind of scouting network only going for his old player Richard Wright and one from his old club in david wright... he will be after jermaine wright and jamie clapham next

Palace will be a soft touch next season with Dickie in goal,6 points to us if he signs .Then again he will prob only play 6 games for them before being thrown on the bench yet again.

Blueknight.....How on gods earth is Burley crap! He got us promoted,we finished 5th in the premiership and into Europe!Your comment proves that some people on here really do not have any idea! Richard Wright and David Wright are both very good proven Championship players and Burley knows that hense why he's signed them both on!They would both get in alot of Championship sides!

Kris.....my comment was sarcastic taking the pee out of people who criticise managers for getting proven championship players that they already know.
