Fantastic draw! We just need to beat a League Two side at home to be through to the Quarter Finals. I know some people prefer a tie with a big team, but I'd prefer to see Ipswich progress in competitions. Better to meet the bigs teams in the later rounds in televised fixtures (all bringing in money) than to go out to them in earlier rounds. Come on you blues!!

Worst draw in the hat bar Brentford! And now I've got to pay to watch it. How about a deal for us loyal season ticket holders - rather then finding four friends who can get £25.00 tickets for a tenner how about letting us into this game from a tenner?

I agree Mark - will be nice to progress and good experience for the youngsters..

The look on the faces of Northamptons manager and coach were priceless!! I reckon they thought they'd get another prem side. Gives us a chance to progress even further. Just really happy to have a home time for once

Good draw yes but exactly the sort of tie we have blown in the past - against a lower league club.

This season has been different with us winning tricky games we would normally have lost but lets not count our chickens............

I'm with you on that big_gaz67 - why reward those that don't fully support the club!

Best Draw we could have hoped for in progressing to the next round, but i can see us getting caught out here. We may field a weak side and under estimate Northampton who are by no means an easy team to beat.

Great chance to progress, home draw and a much needed confidence boost for the fans and players alike if we manage to get to the finals stage of a competition, regardless of it being the carling cup. COYB!!!!!!

Agree with Mark & dairec1. Good opportunity for club to get back to the glory days. We shouldn't take the CC too lightly - respect it and we could do well.

I think our kids would be able to beat the cobblers. In all fairness after beating Liverpool they would have been underwhelmed by facing us.

Hopefully the powers that be will allow us and the cobblers cheap tickets.
