Town have been drawn at home to Northampton in the fourth round of the Carling Cup. The home draw marks the end of a five successive away matches in the competition and eight in both cups.

Fourth round ties take place on either Tuesday 26th or Wednesday 27th October.

Mark added 12:39 - Sep 25 Fantastic draw! We just need to beat a League Two side at home to be through to the Quarter Finals. I know some people prefer a tie with a big team, but I'd prefer to see Ipswich progress in competitions. Better to meet the bigs teams in the later rounds in televised fixtures (all bringing in money) than to go out to them in earlier rounds. Come on you blues!!
