Leicester Match Goes Ahead
Leicester Match Goes Ahead
Saturday, 18th Dec 2010 12:37

A pitch inspection at lunchtime has given the go-ahead for this evening's match against Leicester City (KO 5.20pm). The game will take place as planned unless there is a major deterioration in the weather.

Snow is forecast at some point this afternoon, however, so conditions will be poor, especially after the final whistle.

And with the Liverpool v. Fulham match postponed at least the danger of sitting in the pub only to find everyone else wants to change over to the Premier League game ten minutes in has gone.

Let's hope the team can surprise everyone and put in a performance to warm us up! 3 points are vital to get us away from the relegation zone. Let's have some sensible tactics and team selections today please Mr Keane, such as playing Peters, Townsend, Priskin and Scotland (the latter properly up front, not behind another striker!).

I was going to go this afternoon, but the thought of sitting freezing whilst I watch another defeat has put me off.

Mind you, I guess it would be one for the future to say 'Well I was there at Roy Keanes last game as manager'

How can so many people be so short sighted. Keane is going no-where whatever the results. He is Evans Prostitute, he will stay at the club so that evans can get his brand on prime time television every week when everyone wants to ask Keanes thoughts on the big football issues.

Bizarre, this time last year lots of football games cancelled and the Ipswich v Leicester game was shown on Sky as a result! Spooky!!!!!

Not as spooky as the prospect of what Keanes team selection will be tonight, I'm going for Livermore in goal as the biggest surprise!

Betfred are offering odds of 20/1 that Keane will be seen on camera during the game with frost building up around his face as he "freezes" during the game, not having a clue what to do!

Larchblue - having a failing manager gaining you airtime is rather self defeating! It's not a good advert for your company is it! No, I reckon Evans has genuinely given RK time because he came with high credentials and references and he hoped he'd come good. Trouble is he hasn't and Evans will have to get rid rather than risk the conitnual bad publicity of having a failure fronting one of his companies.

this could actually be bad news, if it was called off then it would save another thrashing on the TV but now its still on we are screwed :/

Come on Roy lets have an attack minded starting eleven and have a real go !!
I really do feel that without a win AND a good performance, it will be Roy's last match, especially as it's on the box. Still it won't stop me from screaming the lads on for a much needed victory.

This should be very winnable - Leicester are rubbish away from home. Attacking line up required.

So pleased it went ahead and a good performance from Town. Credit has to go to all ground staff.

It was an experience never to forget and let's hope a turning point. The mood and performance was almost surreal, 3 goals scored in the first half and none conceded. You could see the determination within the team to complete and win the game. Likewise it was so pleasing to see Leicester's failed attempts to have the game abandoned. Well done all the ground staff - I'm sure that at half-time there were many willing helpers waiting in the stands!
