Chimbonda Signs for QPR
Chimbonda Signs for QPR
Friday, 21st Jan 2011 18:09

QPR have confirmed that they have signed Town target Pascal Chimbonda. Yesterday afternoon Blues boss Paul Jewell revealed that he had made an enquiry regarding the 31-year-old right-back, who subsequently left Blackburn by mutual consent.

The one-time French international has signed a short-term contract which will keep him at Loftus Road until the end of the campaign.

Rangers manager Neil Warnock says he's delighted to add Chimbonda to his squad: "To get someone of Pascal's experience and quality at this stage of the season is a massive boost."

Back to the drawing board.
We still need a RB.

plenty more fish in the sea - and probably not as expensive to keep as in terms of wages!

Plenty more fish but lets hope we get some quality to add to the team.

Money over loyalty then. Sorry just because qpr have a richer owner doesn't make them a bigger club than us, always have been a second rate London club much smaller than us. FCUK him. I'm rather hoping qpr blow it. Would rather see Swansea go up than them.

Once again it appears we can't compete on the wages front.

Still no worry, missed out on another ageing Premier league 'star' dropping down to a comfortable level.

Look in the lower divisions jewell for the up and coming players we can afford and who will be grateful to join a bigger club.

I dread to think how much money Chimbonda is on! IF Jewell was in for him, he'll need to get used to these disappointments ... especially with Clegg in charge of negotiations!!

In all seriousness though - who can blame Chimbonda - where would you go to? A team top of the league and odds on to get promoted or a team who look like they could go down? I hate to say it, but QPR have better players than us and a manager doing a great job. Easy decision I would have thought.

Surprise, surprise! At least no one is blaming P. J. for this one! And yes, jas0999, objectively, I suppose you're right! Anyway, COYB!

Would of been one heck of a signing, but Jewell is a well respected manager, unlike keane, so he'll bring someone in that is worth playing and will fight for the team...not just for the paycheck.

Overpaid and over rated, glad he did'nt come here, there is better value out there, he needs to get looking in Div 1 and 2, no more over over the hill prats.
