Norwich Tickets On Sale Online
Norwich Tickets On Sale Online
Monday, 7th Mar 2011 19:41

Town have announced that tickets for Thursday 21st April’s derby at home to Norwich are available via the club's new online ticketing system. Tickets for the game are not available over the phone until March 21st.

Chief executive Simon Clegg says the club are encouraging non-season ticket holders to buy their tickets online by taking no booking fee for matches until the end of the season: "Internet sales are likely to be the preferred way of purchasing matchday tickets in the future for most fans who are unable to commit to a season ticket.

"The tickets are available online for the Norwich derby three weeks earlier than they would normally be available by other means.

"We are absorbing the normal external booking fee for web-based sales between now and the end of the season and hopefully this will further draw people's attention to this method of purchasing, which should be made even easier next season with the introduction of the ability to print tickets at home."

It was pointed out to the club that people could order through the back door as it were, after the horse has bolted springs to mind.
Nice to see the Upper Echelons are earning their crust.

Predictably, when you try and enter the site, it is down. Does it work the same hours as the ticket office?

I am though, very pleased to see that the club is absorbing the booking fee. FINALLY.

Phil - Glad you have put this up now as a story!

Hopefully this will stop all the forum posts saying it is a fake site etc and we can discuss football again! :)

I have bought another 4 tickets for friends with only 1 season ticket last week. My friends are pleased as punch, but surely this underminee the gold card system?

Wouldn't be so bad if it actually worked...! Been trying to buy tickets for the past 30 minutes and everytime I go to check out it won't let me continue - can I ring up the ticket office? no, as they aren't on sale there yet...? aaarrrrgggghhhh

I'm sure all the gold and silver card holders who haven't spotted this laughably poorly announced "special offer" will be overjoyed, once the realise they can't get a ticket because a load of norwich fans abusing our online system got priority over them...

BlueDanW - they went on general sale last week, which is why you can buy them without a Gold or Silver club membership.

The existence of the website was emailed to all Gold and Silver members and previous purchasers of tickets with an email address on the ITFC ticket office systems, so we did all know about it.

Norwich fans can only buy tickets if they have a customer number (so have bought tickets as a home fan) AND the ticket office are checking these before they are sent out. So even if they think they have bought them online successfully there have been reports of the t/o then cancelling due to address etc.

More crap from Clegg. Total rubbish this and typically not thought through. As a season ticket holder, using this online system, I cannot buy an extra ticket for my child to sit next to me, or move us both somewhere else. This means I will have a total stranger (or Scummer using his granny's postcode) next to my seat for the match, while my child stays at home. Clegg out.

Peter, that's a fairly specific ticketing request and to be fair there aren't many online ticket systems that'd allow you to do that - would suggest that your specific requirements will always need to be covered off with a real person...

Whilst I'm not Clegg's (Compo?) biggest fan, I think it's a tad harsh to criticise him for that.

Although saying that the Online Ticketing Service failed to make me a cup of tea this afternoon - Clegg out!

silver then gold then season ticket holders then general public that's the way the priortiy system works and works well, so if any gold card members (who are of course also season ticket holders) haven't ordered 1-4 additional tickets it is there fault not the clubs, also the club are not silly they will not be allowing a pile of new registrations from north of the waveney

how many fans have we got? instead of moaning buy a season ticket, as you can see the scummers have already sold over 20,000 for NEXT season, it's about time some of those who used keane as an excuse got off their ar$enals and came to the games
