Academy keeper Cody Cropper was in the US U20 side which drew 3-3 with France in a friendly at the Stade Moulins in Carquefou yesterday.

The 19-year-old and his side are in action against the same opposition again in another friendly tomorrow.

Cropper, who will have a professional contract with Town next season during his second year as a scholar at Playford Road, and the rest of the US U20s are on a training camp in Vichy this week.

Well played Cody Cropper. Cody Cropper is not 19 years of age as stated above. He was 18 years in Feb this year. I believe. France the side that he played against beat England 2-0 . I think but am not sure that they have not lost a game for a long time .So this result was great.Cody pulled off a number of brilliant saves that gave the USA a great start in this friendly. The second goal conceded perhaps could have been better? But over all a very good display against one of the top teams in Europe today. Well done Cody Cropper.

CARQUEFOU, France (May 17, 2011) — With goals from Conor Doyle, Josh Gatt and Luis Gil, the U.S. U-20 Men's National Team drew France 3-3. The U.S. took the lead twice during the game, but France was able to find the equalizer each time.

Conor Doyle got the U.S. on the board in just the eighth minute. Gatt sent in a cross from the left side that was headed off the cross bar by Terrence Boyd, but Doyle was there for the rebound.

Five minutes later, France equalized on a rebound of their own. Tafer finished a cross that smacked the upper corner past U.S. goalkeeper Cody Cropper and knocked in the rebound.

Minutes before halftime, Gatt gave the U.S. a 2-1 lead. A corner kick was headed out of the area, but Gatt ran onto the rebound from about 25 yards out. His shot hit the foot of a French defender and popped up over the ‘keepers head and into the net.

Another corner kick in the 54th minute led to the USA's third goal. Brooks hit the ball out of the air, but his shot hit a defender. The ball bounced over to Gil, who hit it into the back of the net.

France pounced on a bad ball played out of the back just five minutes later, leading Knockaert to take a few touches forward and then ripped a shot from distance past Cropper. In the 89th minute, Knockaert tied the game up after a corner kick bounced around the U.S. penalty area and he eventually got a solid foot on it to send it into the goal.

Just watched the goals scored in this game and I will change my previous comment regarding the second goal. Cody Cropper had no chance of stopping the shot on goal.A bad defensive mistake led to the French forward letting loose a screamer of a shot wide of Cody who had no chance of getting to the ball. Sorry Cody my mistake. Again well done Cody Cropper
