Lawrence Already Linked With Arsenal
Lawrence Already Linked With Arsenal
Friday, 12th Aug 2011 00:12

Academy schoolboy Byron Lawrence is already interesting Premier League Arsenal, according to one of today’s tabloids. The 15-year-old midfielder was on the bench for the Blues during the Carling Cup tie against Northampton on Tuesday but didn’t make it on to the field.

Recruited from non-league side Histon, the Hertfordshire-based youngster signed schoolboy forms with Town a year ago.

The link with the Gunners should come as no surprise, the same newspaper claimed Arsene Wenger’s side were chasing young left-back Joe Whight before he signed his two-year professional contract earlier in the summer.

Paper talk. Funny this story did not come out until he was on the bench for the first team.

Well seeing as Jewell likened him to who I'm 90% sure was Wilshere I'm not surprised.

Good. I hope he lives up to his reputation and we sell to Arsenal for a quintillion billion quid... Assuming he does not single handedly bring us premiership and then European glory.
No pressure then....

I know its only paper talk but I do feel proud with our youths and who they are linked with.

Wickham, Whight, Lavery and now Lawrence.

Keep up the good work.

It's possible he could come from Hertfordshire despite playing in Cambridgeshire

Hearing good reports about the lad, glad he's one of ours and another one for the future.

Come on guys - they've got shot of Fabregas and Nasri so they need a replacement! ;-)

Keep your head down Byron, work hard and you could be the next Connor!

One of the knock on effects of Wickhams big money transfer to Sunderland seems to be the increased value of our youth players.

I just hope the younger players keep their feet on the ground, work hard and not be tempted by the toughts of lucrative moves to premier league reserve teams!!

Didn't I read somewhere that JET had been with Arsenal from the age of seven? That makes fifteen seem quite old.

PS I remember when I had that much hair (just).
