![]() Wednesday, 12th Oct 2011 00:39 Loanee midfielder Keith Andrews won his 24th full cap as he helped the Republic of Ireland beat Armenia 2-1 in Dublin to reach the Euro 2012 play-offs. Elsewhere, Josh Carson scored for the Northern Ireland U19s but saw the side he was captaining crash out of their European Championships. Andrews and Ireland finished their group in second place as their game against Armenia ended 10-a-side. Former Blue Jon Walters made a bright cameo appearance late on, while Town defender Damien Delaney didn't make the 18. Carson slammed in the type of freekick which has become his stock in trade in the U18s and reserves in the last couple of seasons but his Northern Irish U19s side lost 2-1 to Montenegro in Belfast. The Montenegrins join Germany in the elite stage of European Championships qualifying. Meanwhile, Tamás Priskin won his 36th full Hungary cap but failed to add to his eight goals as his side drew 0-0 with Finland in Budapest to end their Euro 2012 campaign third in their group.
