JET's Tribute to Brother
JET's Tribute to Brother
Thursday, 19th Jan 2012 08:16

Blues striker Jay Emmanuel-Thomas has had a new tattoo done in tribute to his brother, who was killed in tragic circumstances 11 years ago.

The Town star has added to his collection of body artwork in memory of Jason, who was just 20 when he drowned in London in May 2001.

Emmanuel-Thomas said: “I had it done last Thursday but it is something I have wanted to do for some time. I have a tattoo designer who drew up a few suggestions but they weren’t really what I wanted.

“Then she came back to me with one that I really liked and I told her ‘That’s the one’. I have quite a few tattoos but this is my favourite, the one that means the most to me.”

Meanwhile, the former Arsenal player has admitted he is laid-back by nature and it is a trait he takes on to the pitch with him.

He said: “That’s the type of person I am and the manager knew that when he signed me in the summer. I’m an attacking, creative type of player.

“But just because I’m not a hunting type of midfield player who goes around kicking everyone, it doesn’t mean I’m not going to make a tackle when I need to. I’m not going to move out of the way.”

does righty actually go to any games? JET is showing definite signs of improvement and he was the best player on the pitch when we played Reading away, give him time and a run in the team is doing him good!

Laid Back is just another term for lazy! Needs to start scoring goals if he wants to keep his place up from... Stop being so laid back and get yourself in the box!

He's been our best player for the last month or so. But even if you don't rate him, saying so on this story is about as insensitive as you could get...

So you know nothing about football and you're a bad person. Have a good day

On Saturday against Blackpool JET ran back all of about 60-70 yards to track and sliding tackle a guy who would have otherwise been through in the first half. His shots, runs and crossing is giving us something different and his unusual style of play must be a nightmare for defenders, they don't always know what he's going to do next. His only issue may well be confidence, but he's always up with play, he's just not one of these strikers who becomes a target man like walters. Those who think he's lazy have obviously not been watching him properly but have dismissed him at a first glance in typical Portman Road fashion.

How about a visit to the hairdresser's as a mark of respect to the ITFC fans?

People said Jason Dozzell was lazy and he turned out to be a decent player, what we would give for another Dozzell right now. Give JET a chance there is a very good player in there and it is starting to come out.

righty - you're wrongy on this one, I'm afraid. Definite signs of improvement from the lad JET in the last few games. He reminds me a little of Dalian Atkinson, who could be brilliant one day and rubbish the next.

It reminds me of the story of the Wolves fan's wife who had a W tattooed on each buttock as a treat for him. When she bent over to show him, he said "WOW...!"
