Watford Now All-Ticket
Watford Now All-Ticket
Thursday, 22nd Mar 2012 10:27

Town’s game at Watford on Saturday is now all-ticket with the Blues’ recent upturn in form leading to increased demand. More than 1,500 supporters will be at Vicarage Road to see Town look to overcome their 14-game hoodoo against the Hornets.

Tickets are still available from the Ticket Office but with 4.30pm today the deadline if they are to be sent by post. Depending on availability, personal callers at Planet Blue have until midday on Friday. There will be no tickets on the turnstiles on the day. More details on the club site.

Seats are priced at £26 for adults, £15 for seniors and students and £10 for under-16s. Coach travel for the game is now sold out.

Town haven’t beaten Watford in 14 games home and away in all competitions (13 in the league) since March 2004 when a Dean Bowditch hat-trick and a rarity from Jermaine Wright condemned the Hornets to a 4-1 defeat at Portman Road.

We have had some enjoyable wins over them in the last 10-12 years though 1 of my favs was a 4-2 home win with Gus Uhlenbeek scoring and I loved him!

Well one thing is for sure it won't be as bad as last year standing in a frezzing october wind watching one of the most dire games of football (baring millwall this year). Bring on the sunshine and 3 points.

DoobDude- Wouldn't you rather a bigger following? It is a two way thing performances and support.

There always seems to be a good following when we visit Watford. I don't think it's got anything to do with our recent form, otherwise why were there only 16,564 at last night's game and fewer than 18,000 at the weekend?

Agree with fatboy, ill be there saturday as it's cheap travel and tickets for an away game, only do 4-5 away games a season so pick the ones I can afford and big games

best result ive had going there was a 2-2 draw and being 2-0 up! apart from that we have lost them all since ive been going, we are due a win there and hopefully will be saturday, its always nice to see 1500-2000 people turn up but its annoying when only 50-100 of us sing at the back and the rest are quiet and sit down! come on lets get behind them COYB!!!

Apart from the result Watford is always a good away day, cheap travel, cheapish ticket, not too far and usually a good atmostphere in our end. Although the loudest song last season there was I think "Keano sort it out".

At least I'm safe in the knowledge this time that we won't be lining up with four central defenders and four central midfielders, my word!

Always a decent turn out from Town fans at games in and around London . I think thats because a lot of us live this way . Three points would be very nice. COYB !

Come on town this is a really good game for us I think...it could be a bit of a peterbrough though very open and a few goals Im really hoping we shade it and come away with the three points ...I dont want to say too much but playoff aint that far away if we win this and middlesbrough game..oi you cant blame me for having a little day dream can you? 3-2 town Chops and Martin...I hope jamie bullard will play this match though...love to see him come back with a goal as well!!

If we break this hoodoo then I will truly believe in the play off dream. Shame is Watford are in pretty decent form and have only lost at home to Southampton and Reading

was anyone at QPR away last season? Town supporters were loud from start to finish even when QPR's goals went in, should be the same everywhere we go!

First ever away game was at Watford with me Dad and his mate. We won 1-0 and scored in the last 5 minutes either Steve Whitton or Steve Palmer scored it. So young then that to this day I'm still not sure who scored the goal! Can anybody confirm for me who it was?! Remember leaving chuffed to bits and with a severe case of the ITFC bug! :)

"bleedingblue"...If my memory is correct I believe it was big Stevie Whitton during the promotion season under the late great Sir John Lyall. What a season and what a fantastic team we had then, great memories(Southend away).

@ JesusStockwell - Thank you very much! One of lifes many questions now has an answer and full stop. So, it's Steve Whitton I have to thank for my love of ITFC.

Time for Town to lay this infuriating 'bogey'...go out on the front foot, play at a fast tempo (Drury and Hyam) back in midfield, TAKE OVER THEIR PLACE, on the pitch and on the terrace, and then make the next two home games even more important!!
This is the first time in 5 dour years that I am enjoying our football again!
