Town Launch New Kits Thursday, 5th Apr 2012 08:00
Town have launched their two new kits for next season. At home the traditional blue is augmented with more red than in previous years, while it’s a return to white and black away from home.
To promote the launch of the two kits, the club have produced a video, which you can find here, starring skipper Carlos Edwards, Jay Emmanuel-Thomas, Arran Lee-Barrett, Josh Carson and various co-stars filmed at Easton Farm Park.
Town’s retail manager Lee Hyde says he’s pleased with the new strips: “I am absolutely delighted with the new kits from Mitre for the 2012/13 season.
“The classic, clean, powerful look of the kits has been a real hit with the players and the manager and we're hoping that the fans love them too. The quality of the fabrics used this season is fantastic. The kits look and feel superb.
“We are the first English league club to unveil the new look for next season and that is testament to the work Mitre have put in over the last six months — and we are delighted with the end result.”
Captain Edwards is also a fan: “I really like the red stripe. I think that works well against the blue and the shirt is certainly comfortable to wear as well. Hopefully it can prove to be a winning look for us on the pitch next season.”

Northern Irish international Josh Carson was impressed with the away strip: “It’s a classic look. I think the fans will really take to both kits. Making the video was a great laugh as well. I can’t wait to see the out-takes!”
All home and away shirts will all carry three stars representing the three major trophies won by the club.
Fans can pre-order both kits from today at Planet Blue, online at www.itfcshop.co.uk or by mail order on (01473) 400501. The pre-order closing date for home shirts is June 9th to be collected on June 16th with the kit going on general sale from June 23rd.

The pre-order closing date for away shirts is June 30th, to be collected on July 21th with general sale starting from July 28th.
Those pre-ordering will receive 500 TeamCard points for each shirt ordered as well as a limited edition duffel bag, 50 per cent off shirt printing and will be entered into a prize draw, with two winners getting their entire pre-order free of charge.

Town are also offering free 12-month subscriptions to Ipswich Player to the first 50 fans who spend over £100 on pre-orders.
The shirts cost £42.99 for adults and £31.99 for children. If both home and away shirts are pre-ordered in the same size, there will be a discount of £5.98 per order, reducing the price of each shirt to £40 for adults and £29 for children.

Was ME's shirt sponsorship not due to lapse after this season, or has he renewed it when i wasn't paying attention?

Shades of 99/00 here, I like the kits but am massively put off by the glossy/shiny finish on the home shirt.

Love the video! Home Kit is a little strange, not sure on the red but like the kit generally, imagine it will grow on me though and really like the away kit, nicest shirt we have had in a while, home or away. Both simple designs and can see them being promotion shirts.... (hopefully)

Good to see John Warks acting skills haven't improved from his "escape to victory" days

Was hoping for white sleeved 62 retro style. Maybe could have made the red stripe a bit thinner but overall I think its a big improvement on the current one. Away strip looks alright too.

What a poor setting !! Do all the players have to look as if they wish they were somewhere else ? Looks like good ammunition for our opponents to fire at us, if Norwich were photographed like this we would have a field day !!

I like both kits, the home kit offers something new and I've always been a fan of a white away strip only clitch is having to buy them both together not everyone will want to do that in todays climate. Typical moaners on here regarding the photo's so what if they are at a farm and dont have perfect back grounds were a football club not a fashion label!!!!!

Looks like they designed a brilliant blue and white home shirt and then couldn't stop themselves from tinkering with it. "Paul Jewell's blue and white and, er, red army. I.T.F.C." "Paul Jewell's blue and white and, er, red army. I.T.F.C." "Paul Jewell's blue and whi......

A hint of red is a hark back to classic kits of 92/93 and mid 80's , looks great to me.

What a lot of fuss about a shirt! Its who wears it that really matters.

In my opinion a great opportunity missed by not introducing the kit of 1961/62 with modifications of course. Ipswich Town were renowned in those days for its longstanding blue shirts with white sleeves and we rarely go back to it. I agree the setting of the photos look awful - poor.

Two absolutely stunning kits. Wish I could afford both.

Mitre should stick to making footballs - why we've been landed with them for our kit I don't know. Historically there is no red in the kit (apart from a naff attempt to alter the badge colours). Now we resemble Rangers & Pompey - 2 clubs in Admin!! If you must have red you need to follow it thro the kit ie. flashes on shorts and socks. Best kit of recent years was the 'coca cola' previous to the pinstripe one. Can we have Adidas back next season please? Great vid tho - esp with Farmer Wark!

Not keen on the red on the home kit but the away looks nice. A massive missed opportunity to do a '62 tribute kit with the white sleeves (which Town always look good in).
