Town are still looking for squads of 10 for their Soccer Sixes tournament which will be played on the main pitch at Portman Road on Friday 25th May. The all-day competition will see six-a-side teams — including two made up of TWTD users - battling through group stages and then knock-out rounds in order to become the Soccer Sixes champions of 2012.

At least five of the 10-man squads should be over 30 years of age with the other five over 18. Entry costs £500 plus VAT per team, which works out as £50 plus VAT per player (apply by team not as an individual).

Back in 2005 Town staged the John Wark Cup, a six-a-side tournament where the R&D Construction team walked away with the trophy.

SheffieldBlue1 added 02:26 - May 5 I don't want your cheap (not so cheap even) offer of paying to play on the hollowed ground of the Portman Road turf, I still harbour grand dreams ,that have stuck with me throughout childhood and into my current age, of playing at Portman Road through my own toil, strife, effort, dedication, talent and hardwork... ... which materialises into me trying to kick a ball into a Boat shaped receptacle in order to win a cruise at half time.

hollywoodginge added 03:29 - May 5 My highlights of gracing the hallowed turf include running accross to the norwich supporters in the seconds that followed Rober Ullathorne's own goal whilst the match was waiting to resume along with many others!! And following the play off win v Bolton, I still have a bit of hallowed grass from that invasion framed in an ITFC silver photo frame I got for being GOH at the Crystal Palace match that year after winning an SGR FM competition lol
