Reo-Coker Replaces Drury Against Brighton
Tuesday, 1st Jan 2013 14:10

Town boss Mick McCarthy makes one enforced change for today’s home game against Brighton with Andy Drury missing out due to illness and Nigel Reo-Coker taking his place in the centre of midfield.

Left-back Tyrone Mings is on the bench for the first time since joining the Blues from Chippenham last month.

Town are without Danny Higginbotham, whose loan spell from Stoke is up and who has been linked with League One Sheffield United. Fellow defender Bilel Mohsni has returned to Southend. Full match preview here.

Town: Henderson, Orr, Chambers, Smith, Cresswell, Edwards, Reo-Coker, N'Daw, Martin, Campbell, Murphy. Subs: Loach, Hewitt, Mings, Hyam, Emmanuel-Thomas, Chopra, Scotland.

Brighton: Kuszczak, David, Greer, El-Abd, Bridge, Bridcutt, Hammond, Orlandi, LuaLua, Mackail-Smith, Barnes. Subs: Brezovan, Dunk, Dicker, Crofts, March, Dobbie, Hoskins.

Pazelle

Oops, you're right, he is a left-back. Getting mixed up with Hewitt.

Hmmm, what's the win ratio when NRC plays?

Why oh why was Reo Coker included in the starting eleven instead of Luke Hyam. I think the statistics show that we always lose when he plays. Really thought that we would win today but at least some of those around us slipped up as well. Now for the Cup game. I dread it !

we do not seem to have any luck when this reo coker plays, has he got a lot worse since bolton days or are hyam and drury way better than him ?

jrobot- imo they are alot better, he still doesn't look fit.
We came up against a team that were willing to run and challenge for every ball, and who were well versed in blocking out our players and therefore stifling our play.
Agreed with Mick Mills, listening on BBC Suffolk on way home from the game, saw what he described happening on several occassions.
Several of the team seemed lack lustre today, guess this was what MM meant about whether to change the team or not - tired legs.
Dissapointed with the home form at the moment, but would probably have settled for our points tally before the Christmas rush, fantastic change in the last six weeks.
Chin up lads, lets see what we can do against the Villa.

He was so poor yesterday. main reason we lost was inept midfield. Missed Drury badly but Hyam would have been better replacement IMO.
