Town Confirm Henderson's Return
Thursday, 31st Jan 2013 22:43

Town have confirmed that keeper Stephen Henderson has returned on loan from West Ham for the rest of the season, as TWTD reported earlier. The Irishman’s move is the Blues’ final addition of the January transfer window.

The Blues needed to complete the switch by this evening’s 11pm deadline as players are unable to join the same club on an emergency loan basis twice in the same season.

Henderson, who made 16 appearances for the Blues during his first spell between October and the beginning of this month, will be back training at Playford Road in the morning.

West Ham have confirmed that the deal is subject to a 24-hour recall, as was the case with Henderson's previous loan.

Earlier today, the Irishman had appeared on his way to Blackburn as part of a swap deal which would see former England keeper Paul Robinson move to Upton Park, However, Rovers were unable to settle Robinson's contract and the deal broke down.

Ahh poop

Pointless signing ALB is a top keeper now 3rd choice..

And then scott loach loves the club and had a great game against villa is now second choice...

Use the money and sign someone we need.

What an exciting signing. I just hope Loach keeps his place, and the loanee doesn't come in.

Loach has done nothing wrong, but also nothing right. Henderson has made some great saves from one on ones, I think he's a good keeper, bet we've had since Begovic.

Ok back up, but since his return Loach has played well, especially Villa and at moment doesn't deserve to be dropped.

as usual a c rap transfer window we have donkey edwards getting another year no midfield players coming in and none of them can score goals cant create chances for forwards to score goals. to many loan players 14 all ready honey moon period over town are doomed simple league 1 here we come. and we sign a keeper wtf gates will be 10000 next season if we are lucky and before all the negatives we only have 9 permant players at ipswich with first team expericance and 2 of them are goal keepers

Glad Henderson's back, not very relevant but George Boyd failed a medical at Forest because of a problem with his vision!? unusual.

Who said George Boyd? Just heard his eyesight wasn't good enough for Forest and the transfer broke down because of it. I'd still take a one-eyed midfielder over Martin (for example). Jump in there Mick...

I am not sure about this one because loach was doing all right and now he will be dropped i suppose.
I hope if he do go straight back in he give it his all because my mind go back to his first few games for Town when he let a lot of goals in.
The problem we have with Henderson is he will never be a Town player proper and i hope he dont just go through the motions till the end of the season or when he is called back on the 24 hour deal with West Ham.
Please Mick go the safe route and stick with Loach and keep Henderson on the bench because we need the points and we can trust young loach and he will be on his toes more now knowing Henderson is waiting in the wings waiting to take his place.

Hendo stood on the burning deck
His lips were all a-quiver
He gave a cough,
his leg fell off
And floated down the river.
