Reserves Face Lowestoft in Premier Cup
Wednesday, 6th Mar 2013 14:58

The Blues are sending a young reserves squad to Kirkley and Pakefield’s Walmer Road for tonight’s Suffolk Premier Cup semi-final against holders Lowestoft Town (KO 7.45pm). Josh Carson, Cormac Burke and Byron Lawrence are the only players involved with first team experience.

The winners will meet either Bury Town or Leiston, who meet at Needham Market’s Bloomfields on March 12th, in the final.

The Blues were readmitted to the competition after their quarter-final opponents Felixstowe and Walton were kicked out for fielding an ineligible player during their 2-1 victory. Town beat Walsham-le-Willows 5-1 away in the first round.

Reserves: Crowe, Marsden, Hammond, Robinson, Sowunmi, Thorsteinsson, Clarke, Willbye, Berkane, Burke, Carson, Lawrence, Leddy, Timlin, Marriott, Winter, Galvin.

Why don't we just get Carson and Lawrence out on loan they'll benefit much more playing in League One or Two than they will against Lowestoft Town.
