Manilow Set for Town Tuesday, 27th Aug 2013 15:03 Portman Road is set to stage its first concerts in four years next summer, TWTD has learned, with Barry Manilow amongst those in line to appear.
Veteran American singer-songwriter Manilow, 70, is touring next year, having already confirmed some US dates, and we understand Portman Road is one of the venues pencilled in for the UK leg.
P!nk’s 2010 concert was the last gig staged at Town, while REM, Rod Stewart, Status Quo, Neil Diamond and Elton John are amongst those to have previously played at Portman Road.

Wouldn't have been my choice as a return to Music at Portman Road...but he is a top liner, our own Ed Sheeran would be a great crowd puller? But great to see us getting back on the right track, and even the chance of an U21 International game?

Hopefully we will be singing "Looks like we made it" as we score a last-minute winner against Wednesday on the last day of the season which keeps us up....

..... hope he brings his boots - if he can score goals (or even one) - sign him up. It would have to be 'on loan' tho' - we couldn't afford to buy him ! - or anyone else, it appears. Happy Days !!
