Ramadan in Irish Squad

Academy striker Cemal Ramadan has been named in the Republic of Ireland squad for a UEFA U17 Championships qualifying group mini-tournament in Armenia later this month.

The Irish youngsters face Gibraltar on Thursday 24th October, the hosts on the following Saturday and then England on the Tuesday with all the matches in Yerevan.

Meanwhile, a Town U18 side beat Colchester United’s youngsters 5-0 in a friendly yesterday afternoon.

Republic of Ireland U17s: James Talbot (Sunderland), Colin McCabe (Celtic), Nathan Benson (Crumlin United), Anto Breslin (Wolverhampton Wanderers), Dan Casey (Sunderland), Corey Whelan (Liverpool), Danny Kane (Huddersfield Town), Maxime Kouogun (Cherry Orchard), Robert Duggan (Peterborough United), Georgie Poynton (Dundalk), Tom Holland (Manchester City), Thomas Tiernan (Shamrock Rovers), Nathan Corkery (QPR), Shane Elworthy (Fulham), Steven Kinsella (Templeogue United), Alex Mulrooney-Skinner (Millwall), Jessie Devers (Wolverhampton Wanderers), Cemal Ramadan (Ipswich Town).
