Veseli Makes Bury Debut
Wednesday, 1st Jan 2014 20:42

Loanee Frederic Veseli made his league debut and played the full 90 minutes as Bury won 3-0 at Hartlepool in League Two this afternoon.

The Swiss defender or midfielder, whose only appearance for the Blues came in the Capital One Cup defeat to Stevenage in August, joined the Shakers – whose squad also includes former Town midfielder Tommy Miller – for a month on Tuesday.

Elsewhere, Jack Marriott and David October saw their loan spells at Woking and Histon respectively come to a quiet end with both their sides’ games postponed due to waterlogged pitches.

..... a good win for Bury - and he must have played his part - am I surprised? No. - any player who has been on the books of both Utd & City is no mug I assure you.

Witchdoctor - He's still only 34, and one of our better players over the last 10 years or more

His assist was essentially a huge freekick he launched which went into the box and straight to the scorer.

If he's played in Manchester I'd bet he still has mates/house near bury. Could lead to a permanent move? Don't think MM rates him given his lack of game time. Hope he does well at bury and comes back ready to give us another option!

If it was me, I'd let Veseli, Hewitt etc go out on loan after Saturdays game against Preston. It would be good to give players like Chambers a rest, the last thing we need is an injury to one of our key players in a cup game. I'd love to see a Marriott/Ebanks-Blake partnership on Saturday!

In fairness Timmy would have slotted that penalty home yesterday, can not recall him ever missing for us!
