Loanee Frederic Veseli made his league debut and played the full 90 minutes as Bury won 3-0 at Hartlepool in League Two this afternoon.

The Swiss defender or midfielder, whose only appearance for the Blues came in the Capital One Cup defeat to Stevenage in August, joined the Shakers — whose squad also includes former Town midfielder Tommy Miller — for a month on Tuesday.

Elsewhere, Jack Marriott and David October saw their loan spells at Woking and Histon respectively come to a quiet end with both their sides’ games postponed due to waterlogged pitches.

It would be good to give players like Chambers a rest, the last thing we need is an injury to one of our key players in a cup game. I'd love to see a Marriott/Ebanks-Blake partnership on Saturday!
