Marriott Only Loanee in Action But Veseli Could Get International Call Saturday, 15th Feb 2014 20:31 Striker Jack Marriott was the only Town loanee in action this weekend, the 19-year-old playing the first 76 minutes of Woking's 2-0 victory at Gateshead in the Skrill Premier. Elsewhere, Elliott Hewitt and Gillingham weren’t due to play today, while Freddie Veseli’s Bury again lost out to the weather, their game at home to Bristol Rovers succumbing to heavy overnight rain. Meanwhile, the 21-year-old could be about to receive his first full international call, according to speculation in the Kosovan press. Kosovo play their first ever official international at home to Haiti on March 5th. Veseli has previously been capped by the country of his birth, Switzerland, at U21 and lower levels, but also qualifies for both Kosovo and Albania, who he has previously said he’d prefer to represent. Even if does receive a call for next month’s game and plays, he wouldn’t be making an irrevocable decision on his international future as Kosovo are not yet a member of FIFA.
