Town are after more teams for Thursday’s Soccer Sixes event which takes place on the main pitch at Portman Road.

The Soccer Sixes tournament offers the opportunity to play against a Blues legends side on the hallowed turf and is for squads of 10.

The all-day competition, which costs £50 per person plus VAT, consists of a preliminary group stage, followed by knock-out rounds.

Meanwhile, two teams of fans lock horns in the annual Portman Cup match at Portman Road this afternoon, under the management of a couple of as yet unnamed Blues legends.

carsey added 11:56 - May 6 This is just too expensive for the average fan to pay - £60 (including VAT) to play football. Yes I know it's on the main Portman Road pitch and all that come on. I am still waiting for confirmation that I am not paying the academy charge on my season tickets for next season and that they have managed to move my boys ticket from one stand to another without charging me for two. I'm sorry to say the business side of ITFC have got to sort themselves out. This is not good value.

Also, how many people don't work Thursdays?? is it not better to have an all day playing event on a week end or the later May bank holiday? Only the pro's are free to field a team on a Thursday!

adampasty added 07:24 - May 7 its not just "playing football" its the experience of being there, walking out on the pitch, getting changed in the changing rooms. No one says a thing about the stadium tour costing £15 to walk around and see it or £28.50 to watch a game but then you have the opportunity to be at PR all day for £60 (inc VAT) x 10. play on the pitch, meet the legends that are playing against you. I played in the Portman Cup yesterday, £300pp (inc VAT) but to be honest i will pay it again because it was one of the greatest days you could do. i have been a town fan all my life so to be out there and play for ITFC was a dream come true! stop moaning about the price! if u think its to expensive dont do it, its only you missing out!
