Beer Festival at Portman Road
Monday, 8th Jun 2015 16:13

The FieldTurf behind Portman Road's East of England Co-op Stand will be hosting the 32nd Ipswich Beer Festival from Thursday until Saturday.

The festival, which is being held in conjunction with Town and charity Krissy and Friends, will feature more than 200 beers and in excess of 80 ciders.

There will also be a foreign beer stall, food stalls, a large family-friendly area and souvenir glasses plus live acoustic music on Friday and Saturday evenings.

Krissy and Friends will be providing children’s entertainment from noon until 8pm on Friday and Saturday, which will include music tuition, face painting, a lucky dip, make and play musical instruments and story time, while there will also be a music quiz on Saturday afternoon for adults hosted by BBC Radio Suffolk’s Stephen Foster. Full details on the Suffolk Camra website and on Facebook and Twitter.

Brings back memories. 15 years old (I looked 12) and £1 for a bottomless pint glass. I think I lasted for about 2.5 pints then stumbled over to Olivias.

I'm heading down now to help with set-up. Venue looks great - the tent is vast compared with waterfront one... Beers will all be up and settling by tonight...
