Palace Striker Linked Monday, 18th Jan 2016 10:47 Town are reported to be amongst a number of Championship clubs eyeing Crystal Palace striker Fraizer Campbell.
According to the Daily Mirror, Campbell has been made available this month with the Blues, Hull City, QPR and Wolves all interested in signing the 28-year-old former Cardiff, Sunderland and Manchester United frontman, who has also spent time on loan with the Tigers and Tottenham.
Town making a move for Campbell seems unlikely with boss Mick McCarthy having said he is happy with his striking options with Luke Varney having recently signed a deal to the end of the season after recovering from his achilles injury.
Meanwhile former Blues loanee Jordan Graham is facing a long spell on the sidelines after tearing a cruciate ligament. The 20-year-old has been in impressive form for Wolves, having joined them from Aston Villa a year ago.

Don't need another striker just a midfielder who can pass the ball to those we have, so if we are to spend any money, whether on transfer fee or players wages then a midfielder is surely priority number one followed by a goalkeeper who is not afraid to leave his line.

Can he play well in midfield? Is he going to be free or cost very little? Is he happy to play for U21's or maybe sub for the rest of the season? Is he better than what we have got already?

Wouldn't be surprised if we end up like Arsenal this January, bearing in mind what Mick has said, but want us to bring in fresh faces, don't think it is a secret we lack on the creative side and an out and out right back, I wouldn't want to drop Chambo for anything though, although Berra and Smithy seem to be doing well in the middle. Also not convinced by Foley, can't see him pushing Knudsen, so a very strong backup full back, for both right and left, would do me fine. As I said though, expecting a quiet last 13 days!

If you think Evans PLC are going to invest in the club you are living in cloud cuckoo land. We are where we are and will remain so until we have owners who are genuinely interested in the club and are willing to invest. I have said this many times this season, Top class goalkeeper. decent right back, a commanding central defender and a creative ball playing midfield player. Oh yes, and a manager who plays football the way it was meant to be played...On the ground

remember when MM sign's a player, its seldom reported in the press first, first we know of any signingss they have already signed. so if all goes to form, this is a non story...

Can smell the BS from here! Another window to fly by with no sighting of Jim White getting excited over any potential ITFC signing! Typical town, letting all their rivals strengthen whilst we are happy with our lot of hard workers that lack the real quality to get promoted.
