Bialkowski Misses Out on Award
Friday, 11th Mar 2016 08:50

Town keeper Bartosz Bialkowski missed out on winning the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month award for February with Bristol City defender Aden Flint carrying off the gong.

Bialkowski was amongst those shortlisted alongside Flint, Fulham midfielder Tom Cairney and Brighton striker Tomer Hemed.

Coincidentally, Flint scored twice against Bialkowski when the Robins beat the Blues 2-1 at Ashton Gate.

Well done Bart, you have to be in it to win it.

That is a sucker punch. He pulls off a world class save in that game along with several others and misses out to a defender gifted two goals by his team mates.

Has still been the top keeper in this league for the past month

Agreed that is a bit of a stinker. I don't think I can remember a town player having a better month since MM has been here. Ridiculous the amount of world class saves he's made just to keep us in games and he has without doubt got us 7 points in the last 3 games.

Good that he got nominated, that in itself is recognition. I wonder if/when a keeper has ever won it? Of the four, I had a feeling Flint would get it. As well as the two against us he's scored at least one more - prolific spell for a defender, and Bristol City have done comparatively reasonably well in the last month too.

We all know he is a very competent keeper whatever sky bet think.

All I'll say is that Adam Flint must have played some superb football, or done something to be noticed above the Brilliant Bart. Some may still say he is only adequate, but he has been far better than adequate since his return in my view

Well done Bart - keep it up mate and the Jersey is yours to keep!

Now - COYB - if you have been performing above your weight this year, then keep it up on Saturday ... you know this could still happen even though we all know that hopes are fading with every point lost to a bottom team !
