Town Unveil New Kits
Friday, 6th May 2016 07:48

Town have unveiled their new home, away and goalkeepers' kits for the 2016/17 season with the home strip seeing a return to white sleeves and, as previously reported, a move to blue shorts. The away shirt is white, while there are red and green keepers' jerseys.

Blues skipper Luke Chambers says the squad played a part in choosing the new strips.

“The kits look and feel great, but that’s to be expected from a brand with such high standards as adidas,” he told the club site.

“We’ve all had a say in the design of the new kits and we are all delighted with them. Hopefully the Town fans will be too.

“We were disappointed to miss out on the play-offs this season but it’s made us as hungry as ever for next term and now the kits have been revealed for the upcoming campaign, we all can’t wait to get started again in August.”

In addition to the switch to royal blue shorts, the home kit will feature the more traditional blue socks, while the away shorts and socks are both white with a blue trim. The rarely-worn ‘Barcelona’ kit, currently the second strip, will be next year’s third kit.

The new kits will be available for pre-order online from ITFC Director from Planet Blue from 10am with full details on the club website here.

The home kit will be on general sale from Wednesday 1st June and the away from Wednesday 29th June, although those ordering early will get their kits ahead of those dates.

Loving the away, but the home doesn't hit the spot. They'll be a sea of white in the North Stand next season I expect!

Ilove the away kit - hate the red and orange ones. Home kit is OK!

They are calling it the Away Strip rather than the Reserve Strip. I hope we still play in Blue when playing away and only change when we need to.

Don't like the home but away is fine . Looks like we may actually be able to wear this one without clashing with most home teams !

I like the away strip - quite traditional for us.

Like the white arms on the home kit, just wish there were no chevrons, and I much prefer a darker blue.

Agree with many of the comments, home kit is horrible. Away's ok.

reminds me of an early 90, late 80's shell suit. Retro. Looks decent.

Something that really turns me off on our kits is Marcus Evans name on a logo. I'm a fan from abroad, I wouldn't like to explain to other people that I'm not Marcus Evans.

Blue machines
Heard on the grapevine that we had to stop wearing that kit as we often got mistaken for Barcelona (style of play etc). It's understandable, there are a lot of similarities.

We can always have a yellow away shirt. That wouldn,t clash with anyone , would it? only joking, honest.

Where are penguinblue, Mickszzzzztactics or ITFC Realist when we need them?

Home Kit - Its okay, probably would look better without the V
Away Kit - Love it, simple but it works well and give the chance for the 3rd kit to be used whether it is the orange or the Barca kit
GK Kit - I prefer the green one over the red one. The red one seems a bit much and you can't see the pattern on the shoulders (unless that is just my colour blindness)

Really like that new home shirt - blue shorts though???!!!

Phil..any idea whether these shirts will be the same fit as the current ones or slightly slimmer fitting like the 14/15 season shirts?

Re the away kit - I personally think it should be permanently orange.

I'd order the away kit but there's not a hope in hell i'd keep a white shirt clean for any length of time. Therefore, i've pre-ordered the home kit

The arrow look is rank - but... I was thinking that perhaps it might be needed to remind our defenders where to pass the ball

Both horrible ! Can't see how they come up with ideas for new kits every year but never mind ! Barcelona shirt was best one for years but they never wore it so waste of time really !

Home shirt looks cheap and blue shorts a complete no-no. Away kit is the best for ages.

The only positive thing I can say about the Home shirt is that at least it isn't Yellow & Green
