McGoldrick, Bishop, Skuse and Kenlock Start Against Millers
Saturday, 29th Oct 2016 14:34

David McGoldrick, Teddy Bishop, Cole Skuse and Myles Kenlock all start for the Blues as they face bottom-of-the-table Rotherham United at Portman Road.

McGoldrick, who makes his first start since the opening day of the season, is set to form a front two with Freddie Sears, while Bishop comes into the middle of midfield with Skuse, who is back after missing out at Newcastle with a toe injury.

Kenlock makes his first appearance of the season at left-back in place of the injured Jonas Knudsen.

Conor Grant drops to the bench, alongside ex-Millers striker Leon Best, and there’s no place in the 18 for Jonathan Douglas.

Town: Bialkowski, Chambers (c), Webster, Berra, Kenlock, Skuse, Lawrence, Bishop, G Ward, Sears, McGoldrick. Subs: Gerken, Emmanuel, Bru, Grant, Williams, Best, Varney.

Rotherham: Camp, Fisher, Fry, Wood (c), Mattock, Taylor, Halford, Vaulks, Newell, D Ward, Blackstock. Subs: Price, Kelly, Forde, Forster-Caskey, Odemwingie, Ball, Brown. Referee: Darren Bond (Lancashire).

Let's not start 'the only reason MM's not playing Douglas is because he's injured otherwise he would play him' waffle. Let's just be thankful that he's out.

No place for Douglas!?!...must be injured. Good to see Kenlock, McG and Bishop start, shame we don't have 2 proper full backs playing though, Chambers has obviously recovered from his knock. Expecting to win this one comfortably.

Love this site! If it was Skuse + Douglas we'd be on page 3 by now with many + 28 comments! ;)

Anyway, well done Mick for whatever reason or other you've come to the kind of side we all want to see, let see if we're good enough.

If we're going to do anything this season, we have to win this game. 2-0. COYB.

Rotherham have lost each of their last seven league games, just one short of their longest ever run of eight consecutive league defeats in August 1956.
The Millers have conceded at least twice in each of their last eight away games, shipping 28 goals in total (an average of 3.5 per game).

At least we are trying to play football rather than hoofball. Now get chambo into his correct position of a backup to berra.

Kirbmeister. After Blacburn game I remembered Jonathan Douglas, saying a former coach,I believe, was having a retirement do think he said.Anyway Dougie would have liked to have gone;but said didn't think would be able to make the celebration because of being needed back in Ipswich;so perhaps he has been allowed to go,as its a home match?
