TWTD Questionnaire 2016/17 Results Now Online
Friday, 9th Jun 2017 15:30

TWTD’s seventies-style supercomputer, the Osborne 1.0, has been fired up once again and the results of the TWTD Questionnaire 2016/17 are now available. This year a record 3,203 supporters took part, making it by far the biggest annual survey of Town fans.

To read this year’s results and to look back at the TWTD Questionnaire from the previous nine seasons, click here. There is a comments section on each question where you can add your thoughts.

Many thanks to all those who took the time to answer all or even some of the questions. As ever, we'll pass the results on to the club and other interested parties.

IT'S TRAGIC. LOTS OF PEOPLE DOING THEIR BEST, I WISH EVERYONE INVOLVED ALL THE LUCK IN THE WORLD BUT EVANS NEEDS TO SEE THIS SURVEY, READ IT, AND ACT ON IT.

LOSING GAMES IS ONE THING. LOSING THE CLUB'S SUPPORTERS IS ANOTHER. GIVE US SOMETHING TO CHEER AND BE PROUD OF OR SELL.

The club won't care less. They should be ashamed. They won't be.

General consensus here is that approx 70% of fans want the Dino out!!, so how the feck is he still here????? Wonder if after the cup final our MM will still be comparing himself with Wenger! now that's a laugh!! and a measure of the tickets that the dreaded has on himself!

DINO OUT PRONTO!!!!

Concur 100% .... and if you - or any other ITFC fan - feel like **ABREACTING** to the Dino apparently still being employed here .... by using them laughter muscle mind you!, then check out this SUPER CUTE Facebook video I came across today:

Hmmm the delightfully joyful but perhaps also just a tiny bit "mental" acting???!!! HeadBanging / 'Dancing With The Stars' **wannabe** birdy here immediately makes me think of 2 particular current extremely "MENTAL"(and extremely unpopular) persons .... one being Dino McCarthy ... and the other being Donald Trump!!! :-) LOL :-)

PS: In other Facebook news 'The Marcus Evans Out Of ITFC' group writes that quote:
"Meanwhile Ipswich are still refusing to issue the exact number of Season Tickets they've sold for the following season. It is rumoured to be as low as just 8 thousand. Replica shirt sales have also nosedived again with very few being sold on release."

MzT - quality link, you can just imagine 8k of next seasons diehard ITFC fans stomping around the stadium completely off there heads and acting 'BIRD' like! after another mind blowing season with the DREADED in charge!!!! Depressing or what....(lol)

No surprises here.

Well, perhaps one in the accompanying narrative - who can 'overule' Ian Milne as MD? If the management structure is as we have been led to believe, there's only one possible person. Seems very odd. I'd love to know the details. It smacks of the board being reluctant to admit to a serious error, which in itself is clearly not the first time.

He either needs to have a read of his job description or grow a pair.

Aye that would be a sight for sore & entertainment starved ITFC eyes for sure!!! LOL

But as it's basically very hard to stay remotely positive about **anything** ITFC in this gloomy Day & Age, which of course is not being helped with the ultra MEDIA PHOBIC Marvelous Marcus once again being A.W.O.L.! .... Or perhaps merely once again "golf-preoccupied" ehmmm say due to his inherent cluelessness regarding "BALLS" related matters :-) simply being **unable** to get out of the proverbial 'Sand Bunker' on the 17th hole, on some dead exotic golf course somewhere in the far Southern Hemisphere! ... let me just sarcastically suffice it to say that imho everything ITFC simply is exactly like history's very 1st blackmailed US President, the immaculate wordsmithing 'The Donald', said in his now 'Gone Viral' twitter this week:

"COVFEFE"!!!! ... it's all pure & 24 karat "COVFEFE"!!! :-) smile :-)

.... and in spite of all things depressive, may each and everyone of you stoic anti-regime fans have yourself an awesome weekend somehow.

@phil / @gav

Do the club ever respond to the results you send to them? if so it would be great to see, especially as some of the answers show clear disappointment at certain members of staff and other things surrounding the club.

Thanks

Not sure what fans expect all this get Dino out.
A new manager will play better football maybe but he only have the same funds as MM.

Lecister won the prem and got £93 million this season Chelsea got £150 million
Sunderland bottom of the prem got just under £94 million which was more than Leicester got for winning it.
The 3 clubs going down plus Aston Villa and Norwich will get £41million each in parachute payments.
How can Ipswich really compete with that.

ronnyd added 20:35 - Jun 2
Karlos, i think that most of us fans realise we can,t compete with the spending power of the recently relegated clubs. The major bone of contention now is the total lack of style we are playing,(Toon game excepted), that.s my gripe anyway. Also the Terriers didn,t have huge financial backing and got to the promised land by playing good football, except the slight end of season wobble. Being entertained would be a good start next season, whether Mick can surprise us with this remains to be seen.

TimmyH added 20:45 - Jun 2
@karlos - stop making excuses it's far from impossible, a new manager with different ethics needs to be put in place - just look at Huddersield!! and Reading and Fulham clubs that have spent relatively little!!!

But agree with the elitist in the Premiership and what you pointed out with the TV money, it is absolutely grotesque...

Marley Watkins picked scum over super Micks troops as he wants to be pushing for promotion not scrapping against relegation don't need a survey this says everything you need to know about ITFC

It is as I suspected. Milne and the board over-ruled and it can only be by one man. It's a complete dictatorship a la Oyston, Venkys etc who are completely alienated from their fanbase. Micks Zzz is, as usual, spot on. Timmy H, another reason for Huddersfield's success is that they are owned by a local fan who cut season ticket prices last year and got the town watching them and supporting them. They have a true 12th man and a tremendous feel good factor.

"The quality of the regulars on Life's a Pitch is no doubt a key factor in their ongoing popularity and they therefore deserve a significant pay rise."
One of very few moments this season to make me smile...

karlos you maybe a younger supporter and do not remember that ITFC have always been short of money but through good management at all levels have taken on and beaten the best and not so long ago.
Huddersfield have done exactly what Ipswich use to do,connected with the supporters, taken the occasional well judged risk(MS being the obvious example but I also remember when SBR traded in Rod Belfitt for David Johnson and the fans thought he had gone nuts)
ME could and still could do what Huddersfield have done but he won`t because he was in it for short term gain that backfired.
We just need to hope a consortiumof wealthy Town fans appear from lord knows where to save the shambles that remains.

bressinghamblue added 09:25 - Jun 3
@Karlos - Bournemouth and Huddersfield have both proved that progressive managers intent on coaching a high tempo style of football can make a massive difference. They both did it on tight budgets with no parachute payments.

Dino has to go for this club to win back its fanbase.

Love Ipswich Hate McCarthy

Let's just hope Hull and/or Watford come looking for a new manager..........we may know of a suitable candidate............and if they're worried about transport, there's about 10,000 taxi's waiting!

Cheshire_Blue added 10:46 - Jun 3
As I have always suspected the views expressed on here represent a small minority of the total support. 3,203 out of 16-17,000, less than 20%, and the 'McCarthy out' brigade is somewhat less than that. Long may the silent majority reign!

SpiritOfJohn added 11:40 - Jun 3
@Cheshire_Blue, given the size of the ITFC fan base, the 3,203 responses to the survey is many more than is required to give anyone full confidence in the results. If you are thinking that only the disaffected minority take part in the survey, you failed to notice that in previous seasons McCarthy's approval ratings were much higher.
