Andre Dozzell played the full 90 minutes and won his first England U19s cap as the Young Lions opened their European Championships campaign with a 2-0 victory against Bulgaria in Tbilisi this afternoon.

Chelsea’s Mason Mount put England ahead in the first minute and Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon doubled the lead three minutes after half-time.

Dozzell and his team-mates face Holland in their second group game on Thursday and then take on Germany on Sunday. Both those games are being shown live by Eurosport.

carsey added 20:12 - Jul 3 Good point BluendTrue all Premier League bar Dozzell and the lad from Forest. Surely he is ready for the first team now. I fear if McCarthy doesn't use him he will have his head turned and we will lose him. Trouble is he's a player not a hoofer so probably doesn't fit in.
