Rotherham Boss: Moore Not Involved at Fulham and Town Set to Sell
Monday, 1st Jan 2018 19:26

Rotherham boss Paul Warne says Kieffer Moore won’t be involved with the Blues at Fulham tomorrow night and that Town will sell the 25-year-old frontman, whose season-long loan with the League One Millers they have cut short, during the transfer window.

Following his side’s 1-1 draw with Tony Mowbray’s Blackburn Rovers at the New York Stadium this afternoon, Warne told reporters that Town won’t be including Moore in their squad at Craven Cottage as they plan to sell him.

He added that Rotherham, who have made a club record offer, are one of three clubs battling it out for the striker, who cost the Blues £20,000 when he was signed from Forest Green Rovers in January 2017.

Charlton, Scunthorpe and Bradford are believed to be among the other clubs interested in 6ft 5in tall Moore, who scored 13 goals for the Millers during the first half of the season.

The Torquay-born striker, who it's understood wasn't involved in training at Playford Road this morning, is contracted to Town until the end of the season with the club having an option for a further year.

Jas0999 - your constant twisting of facts is tedious to satisfy your weird Evans obsession.

Mick will have decided to sell, this isn't Evans decision.

Look at the League 1 top scorers. 1 Jack Marriott 2 Kieffer Moore 3. Brett Pitman. We gave JM & BP away! Any return on KM would probably be seen as a result.

Take a million while the goings good. Certain players are made and excel at certain clubs. Moore wasn't meant to be here, if you know what I mean.

Just for those wondering what's happened to Tyrone Mings. He's had a back injury since September 22nd and is expected back in around a couple of weeks. No, i'm not mystic Meg, just accessing freely available info!

We are rapidly heading down the table and the injury crisis in midfield is a real worry, you could have Ronaldo up front but without the requisite engine it wouldn't matter. Lets sort out the real problems without going nuts over an untried and tested striker, because without service he won't score for anyone.
MM is a stubborn guy I grant you but he does have a wealth of experience, whilst he is the boss lets trust him on these dealings.

We haven't heard from Mick yet as to whether this is true. But if it is, I'd come down 60-40 on ”sell”. That might turn out to be a big mistake, but like some others on here, I just don't feel Moore and ITFC are a fit - not really his fault , mind.

Suspect that signing Drinnan could have rendered Moore surplus if Warne is right.
Perhaps MMS strength is in transfer market dealings. Thankfully he doesn't have the megaphone approach several previous managers have had costing the club more money and often leading to failure in getting the targeted player. It's just a pity that this strength is not always replicated in his dealing with fans and match tactics. Looking forward to a couple of decent Premier League midfielders on loan. If we can get the right ones we are not out of the race yet

1. We will sell
2. The money will not be reinvested
3. We will get 1 loan signing in towards the end of Jan purely to cover midfield injury
4. We won't sign anyone else, it will be a boring transfer window as they all are

I'm not expecting anything or any money made available for signings.

Absolutely. This is what I mean about MM not getting the best of what he has. 3 players who can score goals it would seem. You could say Kieffer is having a fluke season or he has found his level. But for that to be the case on 3 players seems unlikely. Purely down to the football and tactics that we do not create chances because we are so negative.

Yes it has improved this year but KM is not better and won't get ahead of Garner nor Waghorn so cash in.

Blue, when you "give" players away for no transfer fee,you save the wages.Others will have a better idea than me regarding salaries but i suspect JM & BP cost in the region of a total £8k per week,£400k pa.That goes a long way towards another loan or freebie coming in.I accept ITFC should be buying but i can't add to ME's £6M pa,sorry.

Not good enough for this standard any profit we make is a bonus . Sears and Dids were scoring regularly at lower level until they started receiving MM and TCs coaching

Even if we were to sell, unless its already a done deal there is no reason to not involve him..?
Trying to unsettle him maybe??"

What if he were to get injured? What's the value then? God forbid, what if he has a serious injury? Value? £0. MM made the right call, says i.Sell for the record fee that Rotherham have put forward which must be in excess of £540k which is their previous record.MM does it again in the transfer market.Do people still want him out?

Yep i want him gone. Our season is all but over and anyone thinking any different is deluded !

We have a chance to have a cup run, but that will end this weekend. Want a manager who loves to win a manager who see's the cup as an opportunity to excite the fans bring a feel good factor to the club, it brings in revenue. Speaking of Revenue sell Moore, end of! Dont give the money to MM as we are going nowhere this season. Give the new man an opportunity sooner rather than later to assess what is needed and give him some investment! Not everything MM has done is bad, he has done some really good stuff and lets face it he is paid handsomely to achieve good stuff, but there will never be anymore to come from this guy in charge! As stated earlier i would love a cup run it wont happen, his record in the cup couldnt be any worse! How many times has he put out weaker teams in the cup to rest players for league games only to loose them anyway!

Moore will never be worth more than he worth now, so cash in!

With how stubborn Mick is, can imagine he WILL be in the squad tonight and unused sub for Mick's sense of humour and to make this melt SWEAT.

@Kiwi Mick has signed over 60 players inc loans. We've made money on 3.

Our fans continue to amaze and puzzle.

Last year Moore was tagged a pub player, or worse, and a waste of even £20k. Now Mick is getting stick for possibly getting a hefty profit on him and people want him to be 'given a chance'.

Never underestimate the hypocrisy and short memory of the modern football fan.

Moore will be sold. Aaron Drinan a far superior player. This forum will be mad about him once he gets involved.

no statement in reply from the club, makes me think there must be truth in it .Bad way to deal with it from both clubs if so .

So by the sounds it it'll be over £540k as that's what they paid for Jon Taylor (Peterborough)
