Town Announce Two-Night Summer Music Festival
Thursday, 8th Mar 2018 12:52

Town have announced IP1 Live, a two-night music festival in the FanZone which will take place in July featuring acts including Alexander O’Neal, You Me At Six, Circa Waves, The Sugarhill Gang and Furious Five.

Soul singer-songwriter O’Neal and hip-hop legends The Sugarhill Gang and Furious Five will be appearing on Friday 6th July centring on music from the eighties, while You Me At Six will be the headliners the following day with Circa Waves their support. Discussions are continuing with other acts and DJs.

Full details can be found on at the IP1 Live website where tickets are currently on sale at £25 for the Friday night, £30 for the Saturday and £50 for both.

MD Ian Milne first revealed that the club had plans to stage concerts on the FieldTurf back in November 2014 when he told TWTD: “What we’re working on is doing some summer concerts on the Fieldturf at a smaller level [than gigs on the main pitch], seven or eight thousand out there, which we think will work well.

“We’re talking to Ipswich Borough Council on that because we will be licensed for that, so that may happen.

"A music festival for the summer. That’s an idea, nothing concrete at the moment.”

You mean to tell me none of you have owned or seen this in your mum and dads cd collection? I'm not even 30 and I know who Alexandra O'Neal is!

Very wide range of musical style in there. I'd much prefer YouMeAtSix and Circa Waves but apparently I have a wedding to go to that day!

Literally can't wait . More entertainment in one day than the whole football season . All that's missing is Grandmaster Flash and I could die happy ! Rap as it used to be before NWA!

If McCarthy wasn't the manager we'd have got The Beatles and Elvis.

Mick out!
