Knudsen Wins First Cap Since Joining Blues
Tuesday, 27th Mar 2018 21:11

Town left-back Jonas Knudsen won his third full international cap - and his first since joining the Blues in the summer of 2015 - as Denmark drew 0-0 with Chile in a friendly in Aalborg this evening.

Knudsen started and played the full 90 minutes as he looks to win a place in the Danish squad travelling to Russia for this summer’s World Cup.

The 25-year-old’s previous caps - both appearances from the bench - were back in 2014 during his time with Esbjerg fB.

Keeper Bartosz Bialkowski, who won his first full cap on Friday, was an unused sub as Poland beat South Korea 3-2 in a friendly in Chorzów.

Elsewhere, academy youngster Kian Ronan, 17, was an unused sub as Gibraltar’s U21s were thrashed 5-0 by Russia in a European Championships qualifier.

On-loan Tottenham defender Cameron Carter-Vickers, 20, will be hoping to win his second full US cap in their friendly against Paraguay in Cary, North Carolina later tonight.

Works hard and gives 100% commitment but is he really that good? If you watches him as a neutral I don't think you'd say he's a very good player... solid but doesn't excel. A bright spark in our otherwise dull team though.

Denmark is undefeated in 13 matches and above England in the FIFA World ranking. Pretty god for a country With 5 mio people..... we Will beat Australia, Peru and France and go om to win the World cup..... or NOT. Worst thing is that we are managed by an ex canary, Ã…ge Hareide.
