Celina Back for Villa Clash
Thursday, 19th Apr 2018 14:31

Assistant caretaker-manager Gerard Nash says Bersant Celina is over the illness which saw him miss last week’s 2-1 defeat at Nottingham Forest ahead of Saturday’s home game against Aston Villa.

“Bersant is fine and he’s available for selection,” said Nash, who took this week’s pre-match press conference.

“Otherwise, we’re the same as we were more or less last week, so as things stand we’ve got a similar squad."

Asked whether he enjoyed last week’s first taste of being involved in running the first time, working under caretaker-boss Bryan Klug and alongside Chris Hogg, he said: “I’m not sure enjoyment is the word I’d use but we were very pleased with the majority of the game and it was obviously a real disappointment and a kick where it hurts to lose the game.

“But there were a lot of positives and a lot of good things came out of the game and we’ll be looking to do them again for 96, 97 minutes on Saturday.”

Town remain without keeper Dean Gerken (hip), full-back Dominic Iorfa (groin), skipper Luke Chambers (dislocated shoulder, fractured rib and sternum) and fellow central defender Adam Webster (hamstring), midfielders Emyr Huws and Andre Dozzell (both knee), and Tom Adeyemi and Teddy Bishop (both hamstring), and strikers David McGoldrick (groin) and Joe Garner ((head, knee and shoulder).

Don't see the point in Celina playing now. He's not ours and won't be ours. With nothing to pay for we need to play our youngsters. When we wanted to see Celina MM wouldn't play him but now it's seems pointless.

BobbyBell I for one would quite like to see Celina on Saturday, from an entertainment perspective...

From an entertainment point of view, and for the bigger crowd expected I'd say it's very important for Celina to play, at least from the point of view of getting a few arses off their seats. We need some flair after what's been a somewhat ‘footballing surpressed era' at ITFC.

Celina shouldn't play: Carayol is at least on a contract here, so should be ahead. More important is time on the pitch for Folami and Morris.

I'm not sure Celina has been on great form recently anyway. It's been a while since he's shown any real class.

I'd be happy to see Carayol and contracted players from the start. He might be better coming off the bench against a tired team.

Am pleased that Bersant is fit,and we haven't anymore injuries.

Would love to see both Celina and Muzzy on together;but think that's a little too gung -ho even for Brian.

Hope to see a good match though, lovely weather, over 20k in ground, including our Swedish friends, kids for a quid;so Mr Evans should notice that the tills will be ringing a bit more, especially with the sale on in the club shop with great reductions.

Come on you blues !

Most loan deals from Prem clubs involve an appearance clause whereby the player must play a certain amount of football or we have to pay a lump of money. I'm not sure where we are up to with Celina.

I'm probably not alone in wondering why our keeper wasn't included in the championship team of the season. No way the ex Budgie is better !!!
