Knudsen in Danish Squad
Wednesday, 3rd Oct 2018 15:19

Blues left-back Jonas Knudsen has been named in the Denmark squad for their UEFA Nations League game against the Republic of Ireland and friendly with Austria during the international break.

The Danes take on Ireland in Dublin on Saturday 13th October, then they host the Austrians in Herning three days later.

Knudsen, 25, who has won four full caps, will meet up with the squad following Town’s weekend game at Swansea.

Knudsen has been poor all season. Should have sold him in the summer. Headless chicken last night and deserves to be dropped.

Rather see Kenlock given a chance at left back, Jonas is better as a CB

Give him a break, it must be very difficult for the 3 or 4 left in our squad to shine when they are surrounded by lower league players that are obviously out of their depth at this level.

Lacks composure, is static in his defending, hoofs it long at regular intervals, rarely if ever gets to the by line, hits the first man on 90% of his crosses.... I have no idea how people still rate him.

Do we really care ?? The most important news that we need to hear is a change of personnel! This is NOT working with the current regime .. it's a step too far ! I feel so sad that the club is in such disarray!
Just read that on this day in 1973 we beat Real Madrid 7-0 in a UEFA cup match .. 😢😢

I mean, I like Knudsen, but how short must Denmark be on left-backs?

The sad thing is, had MM been "lucky" enough to been appointed at another club this "clown" wouldn't still be at our club!! He's been woeful so far this season and in my opinion isn't a great player. Denmark must be short of options??

Steve Bruce spotted in Ipswich Sourdouh? A very good player in his day but a bit too old to play in our defence I fear 😉

Wow Denmark must have zero other left backs. He's so poor it's embarrassing. He's possibly the only player in our team worse than Chambers and that's really saying something.

Back 3 with Jonas at LCB perfect. Left back just terrible by the standards Mings and Cresswell set.
Remember Kenlock in pre season looking great.

Agree with OwainG1992 Back 3 with Jonas at LCB WAS perfect. Has clearly ruined him as a Left back or heaven forbid LWB. Remember Kenlock did look good in pre season, never looks out of his depth, and plays like a proper LB.

This international break is Hurst last chance even if you, like me, are not calling for change yet. He has 2 weeks to get some interplay going. All his 'international' players like Chalobah, Bart and Knudsen can be left out of first team for first game back so no excuses. Time for PH to coach, manage and back his judgement completely....before it really is too late.

Something is rotten in the state of Denmark.
He tries his heart out but he's no footballer.
