U23s Draw at Charlton But Stay Top Monday, 22nd Oct 2018 16:08 Town’s U23s allowed a two-goal lead to slip late on as they drew 2-2 with Charlton Athletic at their Sparrows Lane training ground this afternoon but stay top of the Professional Development League Two South table. The Blues looked well set for all three points after goals from Jordan Roberts in the 65th minute and Kai Brown (pictured) nine minutes later. However, Jamie Mascoll hit back for the Addicks within a minute of Brown’s goal, then Ben Dempsey found the top corner from 20 yards to level on 81. Former Town striker Billy Clarke was in the Charlton side after 10 months out injured, while another ex-Town player, Addicks manager Lee Bowyer, was among those watching. The Blues' U23s are now unbeaten in nine, although with draws in their last two, and remain top with second-placed Millwall also drawing 2-2 this afternoon at QPR.
