Fulham and West Ham Eyeing Youngster Curtis
Friday, 5th Mar 2021 20:12

TWTD understands Fulham and West Ham are keeping tabs on Blues’ academy youngster Harley Curtis.

The 18-year-old centre forward netted the U18s' last-gasp winning goal in the FA Youth Cup tie between the Blues and the Cottagers at Portman Road in December in which they came from 2-0 behind at half-time to claim a brilliant 3-2 victory.

The visitors are understood to have been impressed by the second-year scholar during that game and have continued a watching brief, while West Ham are also keen.

As I've said before this is why we can't implement the five point plan until we become a cat one set up. 5 kids sold in the last 3 years.

The 5 point plan was great spin to satisfy the easily taken in though BBP, that was the main thing. Whether it was realistic was immaterial

Of the 5 kids sold anybody know where they are now, swallowed up in the gaping chasm of talented but untapped young footballers, was it City celtic, Arsenal???

BeattiesBackPocket, whilst I understand your scepticism in relation to the proposed 5 point plan, I don't understand why you believe it pivotal to the plans ability to function.
Cat1 would not prevent academy players being unable to move to other clubs.
The cost to the buying club would be more but not significantly and certainly not enough to put off any Premier league side.
