Former Blues Loanee Bonne Leaves QPR Wednesday, 4th Jan 2023 17:08 Former Blues loan striker Macauley Bonne has left QPR by mutual consent.
Ipswich-born Bonne was with Town, the club he supported growing up, last season, scoring 12 times, all but one before November 2nd, and has made only one start and eight sub appearances for the West Londoners this term, the most recent in early November, without finding the net.
The 27-year-old, who came close to rejoining another of his former clubs, Charlton, on loan in the summer, is understood not to be on Town’s list of potential January striker signings.
Bonne has recently been linked with Sheffield Wednesday in addition to the Addicks.

he was amazing at the start of his spell with us, then his form collapsed when he was going through a rough time.He was passionate about ITFC and he has had some time to get himself together again , a contract to the end of the season may be good thing for him and ITFC.I would still look for a more ''reliable ''addition though .

Didn't know about the family tragedy so hand up on that one and a drop of form totally understandable.... Still wonder if he could kick start his playing career again with great few months with his home town club. Even if to just prove to himself he could... Agree we should all wish him well wherever he settles down....

Some shameful comments on here I'm sorry to say. Whether it's in our best interests to sign him or not some of these comments are bordering on the libellous as well as inhumane. And he's a local lad FFS! Some of you make me feel ashamed to be a Town fan

Hit and miss. Great at start of last season but equally missed sitters. Then one goal in six months. Perhaps okay as a squad option, but clearly need better if we want promotion.

Had his chance and blew it one goal in six months no thanks.

No way. He was a flash in the pan when he first came here but he missed so many sitters and open goals. He will not get us promoted.

Sign him up now at least to the end of the season.

He was the best player for us start of last season. Surely if we can agree a sensible deal with him if it makes sense? Scored some great goals for us, got on great with Burns & co, and loves the club and will fight for the club. Would have more impact than Ahadme thus far

As professional strikers I don't think I've ever seen worse headers of a ball than Bonne and Ladapo.

Terrystowel - wow. What a statement. Try sam parkin. And for premier league - have a look at Peter Crouch. Some people have lived a very sheltered life.

If they sign a decent striker this month and get him in would be great business but need someone else not just bonne if they can get bonne on the cheap and a decent striker as well then why not we need goals would help share the burden on who we can get in

Nope he's a professional footballer? His drop off of form was awful? QPR want to offload him for a reason??

Wish him well, but his level is National League at best.

I'd have him over Jackson but can't see the club getting him in
BrettenhamBlue added 00:13 - Jan 5
Definitely better than some of our other strikers but can't see it happening. For whatever reason the club seems disinterested in signing him. Believe he'll end up at Wednesday or possibly Plymouth.

All these people saying sign Bonne up because he is an Ipswich boy and loves the club have no clue. He is not a great finisher which is why QOR have let him go for free and no one else has signed him. I'm born in Ipswich and love my club so does that mean I should be signed up by Mike Ashton? Fools...

Some of our supporters have no ambition. They even love Jackson and Chambers because they are nice guys even though they are both shi_te footballers!

Bonne would surely be better than Jackson, who sadly needs to go from a footballing perspective. Cant be good for the rest of the teams morale when he comes on knowing he probably wont score but "runs around a lot". He's the obvious elephant in the room (team). At least Bonne was a proven goal threat for the first half of last season, whereas Jackson at 20 goals in 130+ matches since 2018 is a terrible return for his price tag & wages. Hardly going to worry any opposition.

With regard to Jackson, KMc gave him a new two year contract last May after having had several months to assess him and he continues to play him so he must rate him. With regard to Bonne, KMc had the chance to sign him last summer and didn't do so, so presumably he does not rate him. Also, QPR have negotiated a settlement of his contract so they don't seem to want him either.

if he'd take a 6 month deal to the end of the season with an extra year automatically added if we are promoted or he scores 10 goals before the end of the year, why not? If Ladapo gets injured, we're reliant on Jackson and Adamhe to plug the gap. The latter hasn't really got a chance yet but Jackson isn't a goalscorer, for all his hard work and endeavour. Scored twice in the league all season and hasn't scored a league goal since September. Even with Bonne's dip in form last season, he's worth a deal with a few incentives attached to it, in my book.

Go for it....a no-brainer..at least a 6 month contract and then we'll take it from there

Jewellinthetown. The unfortunate thing is, he isn't better than jackson. Just a slower version of him. And of course, always offside.
