Sunday, 29th Sep 2024 13:38

Kalvin Phillips, Chiedozie Ogbene and Jack Clarke come into the Town side for this afternoon’s live Sky game against Aston Villa at Portman Road (KO 2pm).

Phillips replaces Jens Cajuste in the middle of midfield, with the Swedish international left out of the 20-man squad, while Ogbene and Clarke, who is making his full league debut for the Blues, are on the right and left respectively with Wes Burns and Sammie Szmodics on the bench.

Omari Hutchinson, who is again the number 10, is making his 50th league appearance for the club.

Villa make one change from the team which beat Wolves 3-1 last weekend with Leon Bailey replacing skipper John McGinn, who is out with a hamstring injury. Keeper Emiliano Martinez wears the armband.

Former Town defender Tyrone Mings is absent due to injury but summer target Jaden Philogene is on the bench.
