Town’s U18s beat their Brentford counterparts 2-1 at Wheatsheaf Park on Saturday.

George Chenery (pictured) gave the Blues the lead with a header after a corner had fallen to him on 39, then, after the Bees had levelled seven minutes after the restart through Josh Djoro, added his and Town’s second on the hour, another header from a corner.

As a result, the Blues’ youngsters, who are set to have a new lead coach with Olly Lee joining Norwich City, move above the West Londoners into eighth in Professional Development League Two South.

armchaircritic59 added 17:59 - Oct 21 Good to read, but my question is this. Why are our under 18's or any of our youth teams, below youth teams in tables, fielded by clubs in lower divisions than us? Such as six of the seven in the above table. Just hope it might " provoke " a discussion.
