Blue Action Asking For Donations For Derby Tifo Tuesday, 17th Jun 2025 12:10 Town independent supporters group Blue Action have set up a GoFundMe page to raise cash for a tifo to be displayed at the home derby with Norwich City in the new season.
Blue Action was formed at the start of the 2018/19 season with the aim of improving the atmosphere at home games with their tifos, banners, coach greetings, stickers, badges and T-shirts subsequently having become a familiar sight at Portman Road.
At the Liverpool game at the start of last season, their tifo as the players emerged from the tunnel (pictured above) proved controversial with some fans complaining that their view of what they felt was a significant moment had been obscured.
As a result, there were no more at games during 2024/25 but in a statement Blue Action say they will be returning in the new season, at the opening home match and for the visit of the Canaries.
For the latter, they are asking for funds from their fellow supporters. Their GoFundMe page can be found here.

I think those who will be affected and have their enjoyment ruined should complain to the club. I see a post from BA saying words to the effect noted but unlucky we will be doing it again. Getting on in years myself and that’s the world we live in, thought for others and their feelings doesn’t seem to matter. Dont for a second think that anyone trapped under it is donating! Those that do donate are getting to see the banner and the players enter the field of play, “i am ok Jack pull the ladder up”

How about a banner being towed by a plane? I would donate to something that can be appreciated and enjoyed by everyone and not upsetting anyone!

Dont shoot me, Just asking for a mate, and I am honestly just asking for a mate!..... Are Blue Action actually bothered if the team win or lose or are they actually bothered about other supporters, some that have been going to PR for decades. Or are they only bothered about themselves?

Kinda need to lose the divide thats growing on this . Blue Action are trying to booster the atmosphere but can still do this without alienating lifelong fans. One Team-One Love scenario, after all, we all want the same end goal. Us 'elders' probably need to accept that its a different generation now and displays and 'shows of support' are a 'thing' now. My humble advice to BA is keep coming up with novel ideas, but be a tad more respectful/thoughtful to the older guard, its a generation thing as mentioned for both parties . we are bigger as one when not taking ' my balls are bigger than yours' stance.

Here’s another scenario, a proud family who’s paid a fortune to watch their child come out on to the pitch with the players and they don’t witness it because of the banner, blues1 has mentioned something slimmer, perhaps a good compromise!

Crickey. Glad that I read these comments; a welcome distraction from things that matter.

I'd happily sell my house, and all it's contents, to pay for one.
