Town are now being linked with three Belgian players, not just Bart Goor as reported yesterday. It seems that Genk's Marc Hendrikx and Tom Soetaers of Dutch club Roda JC Kerkrade are also players George Burley will be looking at on his intensive scouting tour over the next few days.

Scottish newspapers are reporting that Town have had a bid to take young Falkirk midfielder Mark Kerr on trial turned down. According to Falkirk's manager Alex Totten not just Town, but West Ham have come in for the highly-rated 18-year-old.

Town chairman David Sheepshanks refused to comment when asked whether George Burley had gone to watch Anderlecht’s Bart Goor play for the Belgian side against Leeds last night. The chairman, however, did warn fans: "Don’t read too much into any speculation. George will be watching a lot of players over the next few days. He is seeing a game on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday this week."

Marcus Stewart may find out whether his red card against Leeds has been rescinded today. The Town striker appealed against the red card which he felt was unjustified. Town manager George Burley went to see referee Peter Jones after the game and he said he would change his decision if he felt he had been harsh.
