Had SB membership last season. Never got above 13 points, never got a ticket to an away match. £40 down the swanny. Once bitten, twice shy. |
 | News Comment | Morsy Not On Pre-Season Trip as Town Exit to Kuwait Nears at 13:44:32
Within minutes of Sam's debut, I posted on here that Morsy is brilliant. And that view has never changed. Such an influential player and standard-setting captain. He has driven the change at ITFC as much as McKenna and Ashton. However, Old Father Time doesn't allow respite for any of us, and that includes Sam. We are now witnessing a rebirth of ITFC, and whatever path Sam chooses, we can only bow down in appreciation for what he has done, and watch in awe as the club goes from strength to strength. . |
 | News Comment | Luton Eyeing Al-Hamadi at 13:22:28
Think this would be a good move for Ali and ITFC. Hope we can get Ivanovic from Millwall as a replacement. |
 | News Comment | Hutchinson Release Clause Set to Expire as Brentford Make Approach at 09:55:31
My understanding of how the release clause works is this. The player (or his agent) insert a release clause figure into the contract. That effectivley means that if a club offer that amount, the player has in effect asked for a transfer. The big difference is taht when a player requests a transfer (as Sammie Szmodics did at Blackburn) the club are under no obligation to settle the outstanding wages on the contract. If on the otehr hand a club accepts a bid without the player requesting the move(or triggering a release clause) then the club are under obligation to pay the player the remainder of their contract - in practice, there will probably be a negotiation as to how much of tehoutstanidng contract is paid to the player. So if a club came in with a £35M bid by today, ITFC would have no choice but to sell, but would not have to settle Omari's contract. After today, either Omari asks for a move, or else we would need to have an offer that made it worth our while taking into account that we would also have to settle Omari's contract. That would no doubt need to be significantly more tahn £35M. In other words, if noone meets the buyout clause today, it looks very likely Omari will be staying. |
 | News Comment | Brentford Reportedly Eyeing Hutchinson at 15:51:55
Hope Omari stays - he could and should have a season that eclipses the one Summerville has in 23/24. O'Shea and Hirst tied down, with the new additions and players such as Szmodics, Davis, Philogene, Clarke etc. I think we are certs for promotion and probably champions if he stays. |
 | News Comment | Town Confirm Matusiwa Signing at 06:42:15
A terrific player who sounds like he really wants to be here in Suffolk. Lovely positive words from Azor, he sounds like a good human being. Welcome to Suffolk Azor, to you and your family, as Ed Sheeran said last night, Suffolk is a place where you feel at home, like one big family, and ITFC are at the centre of that for tens of thousands of us. |
 | News Comment | Tuanzebe Set to Join Burnley at 17:14:51
Disappointing to lose Axel and that he didn't want to repay some of the loyalty we showed him throughout his rehab. Hopefully we will give him a wave on the way past in 12 months' time. |
 | News Comment | Trabzonspor Pull Out of Tuanzebe Deal at 13:40:02
Really hope Axel signs a new contract with us. He is PL quality, we need this standard of player so that we don't have to replace the entire team when we go up next season. And he's versatile - can cover RCB as well as RB. |
 | News Comment | O'Shea: I've Enjoyed Every Minute of It at 20:10:16
Dara is one of the key players who are attracting Premier League nterest, and who we needed to get to commit to us. Absolutely thrilled he has signed, it sends out a very strong signal to the others and to potential new recruits. Aleader and as Arnie says, our new club captain (probably). |
 | News Comment | Hutchinson and England U21s Face Spain at 10:28:59
The competition has been rendered irrelevant by FIFA stupidly deciding to host the CWC at the same time. Infantini is just as corrupt as his predecessor. No point at all in hosting competitions where the best players are playing elsewhere. Very best of luck to Omari, Lee Carsley and the rest of the lads, but they must be feeling gutted at their loss of talent. |
 | News Comment | Trabzonspor President Confirms Tuanzebe Interest at 15:34:18
I really rate Axel, he is easily our best defensive right back, and can easily play right CB. For those who think we will walk the division and only need attacking right backs, you are understimating the division. There are some strong teams who will put us under pressure and we need strong competition for every position. We also should have a damn good go at one of the cups - we need to be testing ourselves against one or two Prem teams as we get deeper into the season. Hope Axel stays. |
 | News Comment | Burgess: What a Ride! at 23:52:49
Incredible player for us. His progression was truly amazing. Never forget him coming back to play with 32 screws in his face. In time Cam will be in the hall of fame. Good luck and many thanks Cam. |
 | News Comment | Burgess Joins Swansea at 15:22:36
Maybe Cam didn't feel the love at Town. No matter how well he played he was rarely 1st choice. And we fans didn't have a song for him. A great servant to our double promotion, he is way better than any of us could have hoped he would be. Wishing him all the best except when playing agianst us. |
