Ipswich Town v Cheltenham Town Your Report added at 18:28:57
Ben Williams is a disgrace, one of the most dishonest players I've seen. Other than that, hate to say it but Cheltenham executed their game plan well, they packed defence, frustrated us. So many of our attacking players are off form/lacking confidence Chappers, Harness and Burns look pale shadows of what they are capable of. This squad should be top of the league. Instead, the confidence is ebbing away. It can't be all bad luck, having 30 attempts at goal and hardly scoring. Maybe too many tip-taps when we are in the final third. Edwards needs to be used more, run at and go past defenders. Wes did it last year, why can't he even try this year?

How could anyone give that disgrace of a referee more than 1???

Pigott just isn't doing it - he was lost, always off the pace, always being held or unable to get the right angle on the ball, and always seems to come off second best. Oxford supporters around us were commenting on how rubbish he was. Other than that, a really strong team performance, the more the game went on the more control we took. Celina was so classy, some of the passing and play just doesn't belong in League 1. If we can keep our best players and get a potent goalscorer next season we will be an unstoppable force with McKenna in charge.

Solid team performance, we definitely controlled the majority of the match. Difficult surface but not many really good strikes on goal. Walton superb yet again, and great driving runs from Morsy through the middle. Interesting to see Jackson used to keep stretching their back line, maybe KMcK has found a way to use his pace and energy. A point isn't the end of the world, and some competitors slipped up. Good day out, onward and upward.

Superb passing today, and despite a shaky start showed resilience and determination to take control. Not a poor performance in the team. Some beautiful balls from Tom Carroll which was a lovely surprise. Morsy was everywhere and for me was MoM. Bersant was always a threat. Great strike for the goals from Wes and Conor. Up the football league we go.

What a difference from Tuesday at the Valley. Every player looked up for it, and although we didn't get all the results, we were much stronger than Wigan 2nd half. Love him or hate him, Norwood has shown he has to be a regular starter now, he was our best player. Edmundson and Walton excellent also, and another strong performance from Aluko. Come on you blues.

Fantastic performance from the lads. Morsy and Walton both brilliant, Morsy simply commands the midfield, and plays some superb balls in. 2 more from de-de-dedededa - Celina! That last goal right in front of us took an age, he just milked it, just strolled up and dribbled it in - luvverly. Great finishes from Bonne and Wes. Absolutely top night, thanks PC and all the boys, fans were unreal.

I thought the ref was excellent. Aluko was a pleasant surprise, at least he looked like he was trying, along with Burns and Bonne. Poor old Walton, his debut turned out to be a turkey shoot. He must wonder what possessed him to come to a club with no defence. Cook needs to sort this, and quick.

Nsiala and McGuinness are both too accident prone. Wilson and Woolfy need to start. Chambers poor today, but not many stand out performances at all - Bish and Nolan were both doing well before their injuries, lets hope for some swift recoveries. How we miss Edwards pace, energy and directness, which is surprising considering he is a "non footballer". But 3 points was achieved, so let's just be thankful we stole one for a change.

There needs to be an EFL review of that refereeing performance. Town clearly the better team, but referee's decisions gave the win to SAFC. Outrageous.

Thought we were and the better of the 2 teams in a tight fought match. Judge is showing his quality, garbutt pure class, Huws looked classy in middle of the park, Norwood sharp. Jackson runs tirelessly and has the heart of a lion, but its a shame his football brain isn't as quick, he seems to need his electric pace to catch up after losing a couple of yards by not anticipating play and always seems to be on the wrong side of a defender, maybe lacking confidence? Defence is a shambles, and surely it is time for Chambers to be put out to pasture. Bring Holy back please. Great to see the Bish back on the field.

First half we started very defensive, and looked low on confidence. Knudsen especially playing the ball backwards - why wont he go forwards/ cut in? We had to battle to stay in the game, but tbh the defensive changes made us more positive. We had a bit of luck and a couple of good saves from Bart, to be level at HT.
2nd half was a different story. Villa seemed to lose confidence and Town looked much more positive. McGoldrick was sheer class, Tom Evans worked really hard, josh Emmanual looks like a really strong right wing back, Huws very good. Villa were suddenly on the back foot and although we only had the one shot on target, we were looking like the most likely to score. The goal was a great fast move and excellent finish. Town section went delirious - best feeling I've had at a game for about 3 years. Singing cheerio to the Villans as tehy streamed out, class. That fist pump at the end was beauty.

great game Town, well played, onwards and upwards.

Thought we really missed the attacking wingback play of Cresswell. Mings may make a decent fullback, but he can't make attacking runs like Aaron. McGoldrick some lovely touches but very clearly not match fit yet. Tabb ran his little legs off, overall our best player today, but for all the huff and puff nobody could stick it in the net. Few decent chances for either side, Gerken didn't have a save to make, Reading scored with tehir only strike on goal after a bad error from Didsy. Was Hewitt even playing? Didn't notice him.
