 | News Comment | Ex-Loanee Lawrence Joins Derby at 09:30:40
Good business selling Ince for £10m and signing Lawrence for £7m. I'm sure Derby will be paying Premier League wages and imagine it'll be close to where he's living in Leicester. Him and Bart individually kept us in the league last season so I wish him all the best. Still hope they don't get promoted though. |

If we wanted him, we would've signed him. Next. |
 | News Comment | Town Among Clubs Linked With Wigan Striker Bogle at 14:54:26
@Marcus Omar's a decent enough guy personality wise. He'd always socialise with fans in the town and on social media etc, It was more that he seemed to thinks he's better than he is and didn't need to put the effort in consistently which was the problem. When he fancied it he was head and shoulders above League Two standard. Could be a bargain at £800k if he was to come and knuckle down. He has the attributes to improve with a bit of coaching from TC. |
 | News Comment | Town Among Clubs Linked With Wigan Striker Bogle at 14:06:53
Being from Grimsby and watching them regularly, I've seen him plenty of times. My personal opinion is that he's not good enough for us. During his time up here he did score goals, but he also had a poor attitude, very lazy and a big ego throughout. I'm not so sure he'd get on well with Mick McCarthy. He also never scored from open play for Wigan in half a season in the Championship last season. However, he does have some good attributes that could see him develop into a decent player with the right coaching and commitment from himself. I certainly wouldn't want us to pay above £800k for him as our other 3 strikers are much better. I'd love to be proved wrong if he did sign though. |
 | News Comment | McCarthy: Striker Signing Likely to Be Loanee at 09:09:05
Crap scouting and crap excuses is the problem. Yes, Middlesbrough, Villa & Reading etc are throwing big money about but teams like Brentford are signing young exciting players and aren't spending a huge amount. Why exactly can't we afford to offer £3m for Hugill? |
 | News Comment | Dozzell Returns to Action as U23s Lose at King's Lynn at 09:03:52
How come Monty Patterson never seems to be mentioned with the first team? He's done well in the U23 squad for a couple of years and has international experience. If we don't use him then we should send him out on loan to get first team football. |
 | News Comment | Colchester United 0-1 Town - Match Report at 12:07:36
I'll get excited if Garner scores 6 in his first 5 LEAGUE games. It's positive but can't read too much into pre-season. I still think we're 2 or 3 players short of being a much better side than last season. |
 | News Comment | Skuse Back for Colchester Trip at 14:58:45
Bishop and Hyam are two of the biggest sick notes we've ever had on our books. Bishop must have played 10 games in 3 seasons and I can't even remember Hyam playing from about Christmas of our play off season. |
 | News Comment | Town Announce Squad Numbers for 2017/18 at 12:00:51
Still hoping we can pull a marquee signing out of the bag to fill that number 9 shirt. Hopefully we're not going to sign some big lump of a target man if we're trying to play a different style of play this season. Joe Garner's surprisingly good in the air so it's not really needed anyway. |
 | News Comment | McCarthy Pleased With Peterborough Performance and Still Looking for New Signings at 12:17:07
No chance Reading paid £3m for Bodvarsson. He just sounds bitter about missing out. Should've just got him signed up when we had the chance. We can't keep waiting for players to move on before bringing players in every time and risk losing our top targets. Pitman's a good player so it's quite obvious that he would've found a deal elsewhere before the start of the season. |
 | News Comment | Blues Target Bodvarsson Set for Reading at 22:36:08
Well let that be a lesson to stop dithering about! Pitman was always going to find a team willing to give him a deal. Just get the deals done and stop messing around! |
 | News Comment | Pitman Close to Joining Portsmouth at 09:36:49
Shame to see him go. With fitness and the right service, he'd definitely get goals. It'll be interesting to see who we try and sign as a replacement. |
 | News Comment | Ex-Blues Coke and Hunt Training With Wigan at 13:06:34
Noel was a brilliant character to bring in. Same as Varney that whatever he lacked in quality, he made up in effort. Never forget the Charlton goal and great scenes when he scored twice at Millwall too. As for Giles Coke.... |
