| News Comment | Jewell Disappointed With Cropper's Agent at 08:03:22
Fair enough if he isn't up to standard but, i am surprised he told his agent before Cropper. That shows a lack of decency towards the lad. I don't blame his agent because he is going to tell him. The first person that should of known was Cropper. Complete lack of class in my book. |

Whilst your blog has some good points the larger issue is quite clear. The club WAS in a mess under Keane's stewardship there is a hell of a lot that needs to be sorted at this club to be a competitive outfit. We do need more players that is clear at least now we have a foundation of a half decent team. Whether you like it or not we were going down last season under Keane thankfully we got him in earlier enough to change that situation. I wasn't exactly happy with his appointment but, you have to support him. He has made some rickets but, he hasn't been at the club for a year we need 2 more transfer windows and continuity to get this team back going again. With PJ in charge. Have faith, he will come good. |

Thank you, Jordan Carver is her name. Clegg would of been replaced if he wasn't any good. I think he has made some mistakes - like you have highlighted the contract situation (the comments about not being held to ransome were i'll advised)the mess of the fans chanting at games that he oversaw but, what about his achievements? - He has done well during the summer. How many players have come into the club? When Keane said it was impossible to bring players in during June how many did we bring in? His handling of Jason Scotland deal, we got value for money? Didn't we? |

Excellent question GB. Here's mine. And...we lack pace and runners are still not picking players up from midfield this has been an issue since Keane's day why aren't experienced Premiership quality players not doing the basics in their game? And... What goal has the club got? Have we a 2 year plan 3, 4...5? to get back into the Prem? Will we be looking for younger pacier players in the Jan/summer? Does the signing of some experienced players show a short term plan? And mean more upheavel as more players are needed into the club? |

I totally agree with you Tractorman. I feel, at the moment, we are in the driving seat. He loves it here he is well loved too, something big like Prem football might, turn his head though. |

Thank you, Vik. I agree. Even almost 50 years on Ramsey's influence is still on our football club. My hope of the blog was to remind the older posters of that great season and, for people like me give them a little understanding of what we did in probably one of our finest acheivements. Never, sadly, to be repeated. I also want to thank TB for his comments and experiences that helped me write this blog. Without his help i wouldn't of been able to do this season any justice. |

| News Comment | Town Make Eight Available for Transfer at 11:54:10
This is when the wheeler-dealering comes into play. Are you surprised that, these players have been made available for transfer? - Because i'm not. Let's be honest most of these players weren't going to get into the team. So, it seems prudent to move them out. |
| News Comment | Keane to Again Look at Loan Market at 10:44:46
If Keane can utilise this well. If he can find gems like Tom Cleverly (he got player of the year and weighed in with 11 goals from midfield)or Henri Lansbury. I can see this having a dramatic impact on our season |

Decent blog. There are bargains to be had, now. Burnley have proved that, with the signings of Dean Marney and Chris Iwelumo. Two excellent players at this level. I think improving our scouting network and bringing in another international scout is the way forward. This club has always had a proud tradition of developing youngsters and bringing in lower league players with hunger. We have lost this. It time we went back to what we are good at. This way it won't break the bank and, we will have a hard working good team. Blackpool have shown the way forward on this, it would be a shame if we didn't learn from them. |
