| News Comment | Leigh Completes Oxford Switch at 21:09:16
Good luck Sir - I hope you get consistent game time as you deserve - I’m sure there will be loads of us at PR looking out for Oxford and Mannings boys with fingers crossed. I hope Oxford make something special of your initiation song Greg - on their social media - it could potentially go viral…!!! Hope you’ve enjoyed ITFC as much as collectively we’ve enjoyed your efforts when called on. Best of luck fella’ |
| News Comment | Wycombe Confirm Vincent-Young Signing at 21:12:32
I wish KVY the absolute best of luck. I hope he goes on to play a full season, and wow's the Wycombe fans like he did for us in his first few games, before being hit by injury. Fingers crossed he gets a whole loaf of game time along with Keogh. Best of luck to the pair of them! |
| News Comment | Ladapo Aiming to Break 20-Goal Barrier at 22:44:31
The real fact of the matter so far is that Ladapo has had enough genuine, clear cut, guilt edge chances to have already scored at least 25 goals to date. The number of passes laid onto him which he should have scored are massive. Hence the fact that he is well under performing. As a team we create loads of chances - but it seems Ladapo regularly needs on average 5 shots on an open or clear cut chance to score one. Not good enough - and a clinical striker would score 20+ EASILY in his position already. It will be the difference come the end of the season - someone who converts one in 3 chances rather than one in 6 or 7. |
| News Comment | MacAnthony: Taylor Isn't For Sale at 22:22:29
I think we should look elsewhere for potential transfer targets personally. Not one to fit into our system. Previous dealings with Peterborough have hardly gone well - and I don't think our record of punching players who perform well for lesser clubs has recently been too productive. One to avoid for me. |
| News Comment | Former Blue Downes Close to Palace Move at 20:42:45
Is t it funny how we manage to fail abysmally in the transfer market - often. Both Webster and now Downes sold for a pittance to then sell on the following season for mega money. Cheers for your demolition job and selling Downes Cook - you nob. |
| News Comment | Baggott Signs New Deal at 21:06:55
Best news of the day for me. What a cracking deal..! Like a new signing for the club. This guy showed in the couple of appearances at the end of the season that he is the REAL DEAL and can be an immediate first teaser this season. Get rid of Burgess - and our first choice cover CB to mop up in the absence of Wolf, Donacien and Edmundson. Cracking deal. |
| News Comment | Ashton: If the Stars Line Up Jackson Will Stay at 11:31:38
Personally - for me, this is completely underwhelming. I'd have no issue with Jackson moving on close season. Since he was signed - it's glaringly obvious that he isn't capable of playing up front independently. If the likely formation for next season is the same as this season - then I see no place for him. 3 games of ‘looking alright' doesn't negate 3 seasons of being under par. |
| News Comment | Nolan Joins Bristol Rovers at 23:39:42
Probably goes down as one of the worst £-£ signings ever. Highly marked in the history of incompetent manager decisions on purchases with the following: Kayden Jackson Lee Martin Grant Leadbitter Tomas Priskin Matteo Sereni Sam Parkin Toto Nsiala Taking into account transfers and wages and at the clubs financial time. |
| News Comment | Craney: We Got Exactly What We Needed From the Game at 00:27:52
It's not what you know - it's who you know springs to mind. F'ck my life - I wish I was mates with Paul Cook and spoke fluent scouse… my bank account would be a sight for sore eyes…..! |
| News Comment | Cobbold Stand Mural Complete at 01:01:24
Desperately need to match the colours from the banners to all the surrounding b,use on show to look like it's been worth the effort. |
| News Comment | Gibson Move Well Progressed at 19:52:02
Personally not up for this one. I've agreed with most of the signings so far - but not really interested In an un-tested, un-proven addition to the Scouse necessity. Wolfenden plus one decent seasoned cb, and not scouse liability Nsiala please. Two young CB's didn't work last season. Despite the exodus - I'd prefer to persevere with Wolfenden but supplement him with a decent experienced CB. |
| News Comment | Lankester Set For Cambridge as Clubs Agree Deal at 23:03:15
A mixed bag of opinions on this potential transfer. I was a little disappointed initially to see that the deals nearly done - but when you sit back and weigh it up - I'm going to stick with the plan and start to judge Cook around Xmas time. I agree with those who are predicting a whole repeat of the H*rust era again, but also see the ‘let's wait and see' crowd, and have to agree to go with them, rather than panic before a balls been kicked. I think it's only natural that we're all a bit disappointed that one of our own ‘promising' youth players is on the way out following just days after Dozzell - but I agree with the Dozzell decision, so will back this too. Dozzell - as much as we wanted him to be impactful, was more often than not lazy, and lacked positional awareness, Alan Lee referred to Lankester as a bit of a handful - and a bit of a loose cannon. Perhaps he's not harnessed this side of his character as yet - and Cook has been on the end of his attitude - enough to know he's not in the correct headspace for what Cook wants. It's easy for us as fans to judge a player purely on the pitch for 90 odd minutes each week - but I've worked with some nuclear sized knob bets who can turn on the charm for an hour in the working week. Still doesn't convince me for the other 38.5 hours I'm in their company…! I'll continue to trust that Cook is implementing a master plan rather than a H*rst plan for now. With the fixtures out today - presuming we get some back up in between now and kick off - we've got the chance to start with a good 6 or so games against what should be predominantly wins in all 6. It looks worrying at the mo - but I think it's because we're so used to the Ipswich way - which is history now. We need to back the revolution and give it a chance… |
| News Comment | Skuse's Colchester Move Confirmed at 23:00:41
Good luck Cole. Chuffed you got a 2 year deal to continue playing whilst achieving your coaching badges. I'm sure you'll then be ready (as Kieron was this time around) to give the ITFC manager role a crack when the latest incumbent has failed miserably. Not being pessimistic - just realistic with the way we roll... |
