Can’t be written off yet, only arrived at the end of January and gets put into a team which by that stage was struggling for long periods. My one concern is that like several of our squad he seems very light weight and easily knocked off the ball. |

Johnson has improved but one assumes the wide right position next season will be filled by Ogbene/Burns assuming they are fit. My guess is Tuanzebe leaves and Johnson goes to right back which he should be more than good enough for in the Championship. |

This will certainly weaken Wolves but we really are clutching at straws here.
Our recent results are appalling and there haven’t been many signs of us being able to better their results by six points (their goal difference is worth an extra point) with or without Cunha frankly.
I’d love to be proven wrong but I think our fate was sealed when we lost at home to Southampton. That was a real body blow which we don’t look like recovering from. |

Really don’t see how the team would recover mentally after a defeat. Southampton come here as the worst PL side ever at this stage of a season and are currently on course to beat Derby’s worst ever points total of 11. |

Good signing but am I alone in thinking midfield is a problem?
Phillips was obviously signed to bring quality to the middle but doesn’t really look half the player he was before Man City ruined him.
Cajuste looks good but managing this knee injury is restricting his minutes on the pitch.
Morsey has been much better in the PL than I expected but there are signs he’s beginning to be found out by opposition teams.
We can have the best forward line going but if we can’t get control of the ball and feed it to them we still have an issue. |

Bottom line is only those involved in the negotiations know what’s going on, the rest of us are just guessing as to what the problem is.
Whatever is going on we need the deal to go through because if it doesn’t we will have wasted a lot of time and effort to no effect! McKenna has wanted this guy for a long time so so it would be a shame to miss out again. |

Tonight is the first time I’ve thought we are going down!
I didn’t think Palace were all that but they had more than enough to deal with us and it’s obvious the squad isn’t good enough. We will look to strengthen in the January window but it will be hard to get quality players in whilst we are in the position we are in.
Hate to say it but I don’t see us getting out of this. |
