 | News Comment | Villa and French Sides Linked With Cajuste at 14:53:02
I’d like to see him back here but, if these constant stories about other clubs at higher levels being interested in him are true, I don’t think it happens frankly. What I don’t want to happen is the club keep chasing a lost cause! |
 | News Comment | Premier League Trio Linked With O'Shea at 14:38:46
If we do sell we need to make sure we get decent money for him, he’s been outstanding this season. Having said that do we know if the dreaded release clause is in his contract and what it might be? I’ve not seen anything mentioned with regards to O’Shea but it has to be a possibility! |
 | News Comment | Town Keen to Loan Chelsea Striker Guiu at 15:59:42
Obviously I’m biased but at this stage of his career it would surely be a good move? Playing under McKenna, a coach who improves most of the players he works with, and playing regularly in a top Championship team couldn’t do him any harm! |
 | News Comment | Forest Eyeing Davis at 14:56:14
Bottom line is if a club meets the valuation on any of our players they will be gone! Ashton has made no secret of the fact that we are going to pursue a player trading model and this is the inevitable consequence of that. |
 | News Comment | Town Buy Former Owner Evans's Remaining Shares at 13:40:36
blues1 I beg to differ! There were plenty of apologists for Evans over the years and a few still trot out excuses for him. The main one in recent years has been the ‘but he wrote off the £100million debt’. Indeed he did but what choice did he have? Nobody was going to buy a League 1 club saddled with that level of debt, particularly bearing in mind the level of investment needed to put right the years of neglect under Evans ownership. He wasn’t going to shift it unless he wrote the debt off, simple as that. As for his ownership generally, I can’t be bothered to list all of his incompetent decisions over the years again but suffice to say he was not far away from causing irreparable damage to the club, which says it all. |
 | News Comment | Promoted Pair Linked With Hirst at 13:41:11
I’ll be honest, didn’t see this one coming, assuming it’s true obviously! If it is true it’s possible there will be interest in more of our players than first thought. Not an ideal situation. |
 | News Comment | McKenna: Pretty Definite Philogene Won't Play Again This Season at 18:08:56
Bad luck for the lad. Can’t be written off yet, only arrived at the end of January and gets put into a team which by that stage was struggling for long periods. My one concern is that like several of our squad he seems very light weight and easily knocked off the ball. |
 | News Comment | McKenna: Johnson Has Built Well Over the Season at 17:30:26
Johnson has improved but one assumes the wide right position next season will be filled by Ogbene/Burns assuming they are fit. My guess is Tuanzebe leaves and Johnson goes to right back which he should be more than good enough for in the Championship. |
 | News Comment | McKenna: We Definitely Want to Keep Axel at 17:18:39
He’ll be looking to stay in the PL and if he can stay fit he can still do a job for a middle ranking club. Sad to say I think if he was going to sign for us again he’d have done it by now. Same with Burgess. |
 | News Comment | Town Spend Least in Premier League On Agents at 16:46:00
And right there is the problem with modern football. Hundreds of millions of pounds sucked out of the game by parasites and leeches masquerading as professional agents when most are nothing of the sort! |
 | News Comment | Town Topic: Gamechanger Takeover Four Years On at 16:36:51
The highlight for me is that the managed decline under Evans stopped and people who know what they are doing took over the club. Everything else stems from that! |
 | News Comment | Wolves Striker Cunha Could Face Extended Ban Following FA Cup Red Card at 08:23:15
This will certainly weaken Wolves but we really are clutching at straws here. Our recent results are appalling and there haven’t been many signs of us being able to better their results by six points (their goal difference is worth an extra point) with or without Cunha frankly. I’d love to be proven wrong but I think our fate was sealed when we lost at home to Southampton. That was a real body blow which we don’t look like recovering from. |
 | News Comment | Ipswich Town 1-4 Tottenham Hotspur - Match Report at 18:49:51
We don’t create enough chances. We don’t take enough of the chances we do create. We give away very sloppy goals on a regular basis. That in a nutshell is our season and was on full display today! |
