Fan Fall "Not a Police Matter"

Hmm, sure is a tricky one to solve.

Have the club spoken to either Jack Daniels or Johnnie Walker? I hear these two can often be involved in these kind of incidents.

Morsy Linked With Saudi Clubs
at 02:58:08

Churchmans - I think this Saudi effort has more chance of succeeding than Japan or China’s attempts because of the time games are played are better with a European audience. But without access to Champions League football for those clubs and no history to create levels of credibility and prestige for players, I can’t see it working.

The money is great but the contrast with Europe and the lifestyles most of these guys are accustomed to, just won’t work.

The Gamechanger Paradox
at 21:30:11

This is a really informative piece and incredibly well written - thanks for sharing your insight.

This is the first summer, I feel like sensible, considered improvements will be made to the squad. Under Evans, it was never better or upgrades coming in, always cheaper, more injury-prone or just hopeless. And Cook's purchases felt a little bit Supermarket Sweep and just grabbing what he could quickly.

As a football fan, you're always optimistic, but maybe with good reason this summer.

Downes: We Came to an Agreement That I Wanted to Leave
at 12:12:43

There are players you think we let go too cheaply (Webster) and players you wish we didn't have to sell (Cresswell, Mings etc.) because you admired their hard work and commitment…and then there's Downes.

If, and I think right now it's a massive if, he goes on to be on the level of those mentioned above, I won't have any feelings of disappointment or that we missed an opportunity with him, as he didn't have the right attitude after Palace came sniffing.

He's the one who needs to prove himself now and who needs to stop looking back and blaming others. Town did all they could.

Chambers: Absolutely I Want to Stay, My Ambition For the Club is Unchanged
at 03:50:22

Any decision should be based on performances and Chambers is now struggling in League One.

Being a regular who picks up few injuries is not enough of a reason to keep him for me. These characteristics do not win games. We need better and players we can build a future around.

Bishop: Everyone is Behind the Manager and Still Playing For Him and the Club
at 13:02:57

I hate to doubt you Mr Bishop, but when the club now has an environment where it's 'say the wrong thing and you're with the U23s' or 'Tell them everything is OK and you play', these words seem barely believable right now.

The only reason the players should all be behind Lambert, is to physically push him out the door.

Evans: Focus Should Be on How We Finish the Season
at 11:46:51

But when reviewing the performance of his manager and players, Evans should look at the previous 9 months.

It's a sad case of affairs when I only want this season to be played out so that the true disaster of this season can be revealed and hope that some of those responsible can see what they've done.

Not that anything will change mind...

Lambert: Football Will Change for the Better
at 22:15:41

I think this will only widen the financial gap between the Premier League and everyone else.

The Premier League will most likely seek to distance themselves and create an elite European league with minimal opportunity or hope of lower league clubs ever getting into it. Sure, there'll be even less money in the lower leagues but that gap was widening out of control before this happened.

I really can't see this being for the better.

Five Point Protest Aims to Focus Frustrations
at 10:54:47

Northstandveteran, I agree 100%.

This lad is from a generation who haven't even seen good football, wanting to make a difference. Marcus Evans has never fully understood the kind of club we are; close knit and personal. His distance and apathy towards owning a proud team and disengaging loyal supporters isn't finally coming home to roost.

Best of luck to this guy in making a change.

Sears: You’ll Know By the End of This Week Where We’re Going to Be
at 11:29:21

So, before the end of the week, our men nearest the other team's goal need to know where the goal is and how to put a ball in it. And the men closest to our own goal need to know where to stand and how to stop the ball going in it. The shouty man in the pullover a top the side needs to know how to coordinate all these men correctly.

I know this is a big ask at present but come on lads, you can do it.

Chambers: We'll Be Seen as a Scalp in League One
at 14:38:26

At present, I think any League One club will view as a potential 3 points rather than a scalp.

Relegation was not even a close call and we've won just two games in 2019. Yes, there is positivity, the playing style is better and the harmony around ITFC seems better on and off the pitch, but until we sort out all the things that got us relegated, we're way off getting promoted from League One.

I'm all for remaining positive but talk of promotion before the basics get sorted is madness.
