I’ve just had a little prick
at 19:09 16 Apr 2024

I’ve foolishly booked to have 2 wisdoms out morning of the Friday before Huddersfield. Going for sedation. Do you reckon I’ll still be OK to attend the game?

So this Leicester problem
at 00:32 27 Mar 2024

Isn’t this part of the Forrest defence? That if they face a points deduction “in season” everyone should inclusive of Leicester. Which is the dilemma for the authorities. Unless Leicester are doct point this season, it strengthens both Everton’s and Forests claims. What a mess!

It’s almost like they might have some data, that would indicate this would be the case.

Who is responsible for the mentality at Ipswich Town?
at 18:16 6 Mar 2024

I’d say everyone, including us. We go a goal down and our first reaction is “it’s in the bag now” and that translates onto the pitch. A small but important part. But imagine it’s the same for every individual in and around the club.

In the report players mentioned how soft the pitch was, and being like running in quicksand. No doubt exhausted as put everything in as always.

Not a view I ever expressed, and basing on time at town; you know - his first ever gig as a manager.

I'm not sure how we jump from what I said, his time as town, to Man Utd?

Either that or a major Kingfisher induced “woosh” moment incoming.

You’re not wrong there!

In terms of Captains in my era…

Mills
Holland
Magilton
Morsey

Lots of other great midfielders and players, but influence on team and club those are them for me.

I’m sat in a beer garden in India, having a late brunch and a few shandies, and my word what a manager we have.

Just read his post match interview, which I must admit initially was put off by the sheer size of it. But my word, it’s pure filth. It’s like every paragraph is hitting the tipping bell. That bit about worry about other teams, and the team not having any more energy to give it a thought because they’re on max just to be doing what we’re doing.

My god, I hope he never leaves us, because KM with Premier and World level players will be something to behold.

Of that list Holland is the only one I’d place above Morsey, and that’s more his time pre and during Premier League. I think he left fairly soon after the drop.

Morsey is so instrumental to us as a team/club. Shame he’s not 27/28! I think he’ll manage us one day.

Two superb goals today
at 07:06 18 Feb 2024

Have to say Burge coming back in has been a catalyst. His left foot just opens up that left side quicker, and I think the whole defence, in particular Woolfie look so much more composed. It actually allows Woolfie to be our quarterback which is what he is there to do (face the play, manipulate the ball and draw the press in, and then spot the free space and runners.

It really is an absolute pleasure to be watching such a structured and intelligent team.

Realistically how many wins to finish second?
at 04:56 18 Feb 2024

I’d did the predictor thing and had us on 97 points and still finishing 4th! Which would be ludicrous but not impossible based on the current form of everyone. However we are +2 already on my prediction, and Southampton -3.

It’s going to come down to the smallest of margins. The odd unexpected draw here or there.

It’s incredible for us to even be in the mix with those 3, and just hope our experience of last year helps us through. One game at a time. If you look at the point tracker chart it is incredible just how close this and last season match up.

Nah, why nullify two of your greatest threats? Burns and Leif. Easier to just drop Tanzabe in, in the event Clarke is out (which I hope not).
