I believe when they have double sessions they sometimes start the first training session earlier, possibly 9-30 ish.
There is a security person on the entrance in to Playford Road training ground facility, so if you are local you could take your son up there 9-15 ish and ask him/her what time the players will be going over that day.
Fingers crossed you choose the day they are over the Bent Lane side.
I don't believe the actual training sessions are open to the public.
However, the players park and change at the training "HQ" (for want of a better expression!) and then walk across Playford Road to the land and pitches between Playford Road and Bent Lane which is where, I think, the first team train - at least on occasion.
So your boy should be able to at least see the players and, hopefully, be in a position to ask for autographs.
I see! Thanks for this, I hadn't seen that mentioned during this post so wasn't aware.
So the year's option the club have "over" him - would it be fair to assume that would have to be on the same salary as he's currently on - bearing in mind it's mentioned by others above he's one of our higher earners.
I wonder if the year's option allows for any variation in his contract - by either party.
I assume contract talks between his agent and the club will happen (if they haven't started already) and, if he (Walton) isn't happy with the new contract offer, coupled with the fact he isn't actually getting much game time, he might decide to leave the club as a free agent at the end of his current contract.
As a transfer fee would not be required I imagine he could get a good signing on fee as part of his contract negotiations with a new club, a new club where he would be considered a number one keeper.
There were eight Town outfield players in the penalty area at the time the ball was played across with pace by Ndidi and all eight of them were facing the goal as the ball was played due to the pace of the Leicester attack.
A question for you Joe. How is Leif Davis meant to magically be facing a different direction when running back defending in this particular instance? Watch the extended highlights from 1 min. 52 secs.
If Leif Davis had been a split second quicker getting back the ball would have passed behind him, if he had been a split second slower getting back the ball would have passed just in front of him.
It was just a very unfortunate footballing incident when trying to defend a pacy attack.
Kiss Guy was very good. Thanks for pointing me in that direction.
I also watched Kiss Guy's interview after the event where he said how tall Dave Grohl was, and that when he put Dave Grohl's guitar strap round his own neck the guitar hung so low he was terrified he wouldn't be able to play properly. He played Monkey Wrench very well though, including a small mid track "shred" which was very good all things considered!
Firstly, apologies to the OP - the thread has evolved and.....well, apologies - didn't mean to hijack it.
Saw the Chilli Peps at Portman Road back in the day - early/mid 2000's? Enjoyed their performance/show.
Have seen Foo Fighters several times and am going to see them again at the Olympic Stadium this coming June.
Was also fortunate to get tickets for the Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert at Wembley - what a day!
Dave Grohl - legend. When he accepted Nandi Bushell's challenge during lockdown it was fun and showed an endearing human side to him. And then, of course, she joined them on stage at one of their shows.
Edited to add Nandi Bushell from Ipswich....in case people didn't know.
Leif Davis may have a release clause in his Contract with Town along the lines of if a Premier League club offers a certain amout.....could be as low as 5 million......, then he is allowed to talk with them about a potential move.
If those talks offer Leif Davis what he wants then him leaving Town might be out of our sole control.
I would expect sell-on clauses to be applied if we did have to sell him though.
