|Cook: P24 W4|

The last time I questioned whether Cook was the right man for the job I was asked what level of football I had played at.
I really want it to work out for him. But the only thing the Demolition Man is demolishing is his own reputation at the moment.
I thought the alarm bells were ringing from the moment he so publicly threw last year’s squad under the bus. This season things have got in some ways better but we won’t stay in the league (yet alone go up) by playing more attractive football and conceding 5 at home.
Time is running out in more ways than one.

Currently reading Pat Nevin’s autobiography “The Accidental Footballer”. He’s always been one of my favourite pundits on 5 Live and obviously I knew about his love of alternative music. (There’s some great bits including where he meets Morrissey.
What I didn’t know was that we nearly signed him. He had a week’s trial and even (as a 17 year old) had a time training with the first time team (where he revelled in a battle with Terry Butcher.) SBR was 50/50 about offering him a contract because, at the time, we had a Gatesy in the team (Nevin was a number 10 at the time rather than a winger). He told Bobby that he wasn’t even sure he wanted to become a professional footballer...... pity as he was a cracking winger.

Watching this nonsense and find myself turning to Mrs Wickwar and asking repeatedly “WHY HASN’T ED BEEN NOMINATED?!” Before telling her (yet again) that Ed is a “good Suffolk lad”.
Surely a Brit Award would add to shirt sales and help pay Zlatan’s wages when the Three Lions sign him?

Someone has updated Paul Cook’s Wikipedia entry to say he’s our manager.
Does that make it Def Info?

Got to say the Away Days beer is nice. Currently supping Bontcho in front of the Arsenal game and reminiscing about the great man.
His pen vs Mexico was my highlight of USA 94. I was at a military boarding school at the time and the assorted Man U, Liverpool fans couldn’t understand why I was going so potty. (From memory it was about 11:30pm due to the time difference.)
Also Bontcho is referred to in Saint Etienne’s song (cracking band) Teenage Winter:
"Gary can't believe the Claremont Road pitch is going to be covered in executive housing
He talks about the Newcastle game, Boncho's debut"
This laments the building on Hendon's old ground where Bontcho played later in his career.

Bloody hell I’d take him as Manager and Graeme Harbey at full back in a heartbeat compared to the current incumbents.

Ask Alexa to tell you how many trophies Norwich have won......
It tells you about Tottenham Hotspur. Maybe it’s just my Alexa being preprogrammed to mock them?
